His Likeness

What shall we say, then?
Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase?
By no means! We are those who have died to sin;
how can we live in it any longer? Or don’t you know
that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus
were baptized into his death? We were therefore
buried with him through baptism into death in order
that, just as Christ was raised from the dead
through the glory of the Father,
we too may live a new life.

Put your trust in me and not in situations.
Weigh carefully what you may say and the
intent of your hasty words. Bring your
frustrations to me. Lay them down
and wash yourself.

Use the example my son set for you. As
you see others, you too should reach out
to me. Grow in his likeness.

This is what you asked of the Lord your God at Horeb on the day of the assembly, when you said, “Let us not hear the voice of the Lord our God or see this great fire anymore, so that we will not die!” Then the Lord said to me, “They have spoken well. I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers. I will put My words in his mouth, and he will tell them everything I command him.
