bread of sincerity and truth

Get rid of the old yeast, so that you may be a new unleavened batch—as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed. Therefore let us keep the Festival, not with the old bread leavened with malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.  I Corinthians 5:7-8 (NIV)

something to remember

“For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened” (Matt. 7: 8)

In this season

IN THE spring, when kings go forth to battle, David sent Joab with his servants and all Israel, and they ravaged the Ammonites [country] and besieged Rabbah. But David remained in Jerusalem.  2 Samuel: 2:11 (AMP) You are a beloved one:  I know your actions and see within your heart. You are like a David, seeking after me. I have gifted and anointed you to do my exploits.  Continue to seek me and I will bless and your family. Follow after my voice for I will direct you. In this new season, do not ignore the small things. They are yet important. They are what guided you to where you are now. Take care in what you allow yourself to take a second look for they will try to win your heart. They will press you to follow your emotions. Be found where you should be found; following my heart, leading those I have set before you, those who have gathered around you. I will lead you if continue to follow after my heart.

names

Walking my dog this morning I was made aware I had several names which I called her.  She would eagerly respond to each name I did call her. It was then I heard father speaking to me.   I have many names for you. You are each of them and yet much more. They, each name, is a description of a characteristic I have imbedded within you. You are many things, complex and simple.   You are mine. Do not be caught in the names which you are known. You are much more. More than what you sense is the best or the ones which tear you down. You are mine. Within the many names for you is a piece of the whole. They reflect a portion of me which others may recognize. Yet you are far more valuable to be defined by a name which can be defined.     Your name is Jacob, but you will no longer be known as Jacob. Israel will be your name. From then on, God addressed him by his new name: Israel. Genesis 35:10 (VOICE)   Then Saul, who was also called Paul, filled

trains...

In my life trains have been special. I grew up near a set of tracks are would hear the trains each day as they passed through our small town. I was often walking on the train tracks. It was there that I had my first experiences with Holy Spirit.  Even our dogs have had a strong reaction to seeing/hearing the trains as they would pass by us on walks.   I recently saw another train. It was not moving, but stopped on the racks. As we turned onto another road I could see a rail-truck.  It was parked near the train in close approximation to the locomotive.   At first glance we too often just see the stopped train. It captures our attention.  It may be because of the shear size or the fact we often associate them with speed, movement and power. It is not until we turn aside and continue to look that we may see the other vehicle.   We may be a type of this other vehicles. It was created unique, being able to travel not only on the track, but also on t

critters in the attic

I’d had been in a period of internal turmoil and discontent. In my temperament I mostly kept the issues to myself. In these type of times we lose the ability to clearly hear and interpret what God is often showing us.   In the natural I began hearing small chewings and noises in our home. I would hear it then it would be gone for a day. Next it became clearly louder.  It seemed that we had some sort of animal noise sounds coming from the attic.  One day after work, I was clearly shown the handiwork of squirrel.  It had made an entrance into the home around   I called wildlife management folks to come. They went into our attic for an inspection.  It was good news, in that there were no obvious signs that there were raccoon or squirrels.  They were no nestings or damage. There, things were fine. Next in their investigation they examined our roof, and the overhangs for signs of animal damage. It seems we found but the one entrance and in a few days

Open Access

This is related to a few things which I’ve experienced this past month, amidst a time of spiritual battle.   The first items occurred on two occasions within a period of six days or so. In taking my dog for a walk, the place we go closed off one entrance so vehicles will not pass through the gait, but there is an open parking and sidewalk to use.   One two occasions and my dog Sadie and I were walking a vehicle came by and passed around us.  It initially did not come to mind, but on both times, I never saw the vehicles leave and the gate remained locked.   In my initial spiritual condition I had some poor interpretation. I’ve sense received some direction from others.  I think too there can be a broad application for others.  While we do have access to father.  We need approach Father on our own accord, and not through the vehicles of our ministries. We have access to Father according to who we are and not what we are.

already existant

In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was already with God in the beginning. Everything came into existence through him. Not one thing that exists was made without him. He was the source of life, and that life was the light for humanity. The light shines in the dark, and the dark has never extinguished it.   ‭‭John‬ ‭1:1-5‬ ‭(GW‬‬)

wrestling with God

So Jacob called the place Peniel, saying, "It is because I saw God face to face, and yet my life was spared.  Genesis 32:30 (NIV)
