words that matter

The Lord has made the heavens his throne; from there he rules over everything. Praise the Lord, you angels, you mighty ones who carry out his plans, listening for each of his commands. Yes, praise the Lord, you armies of angels who serve him and do his will! Praise the Lord, everything he has created, everything in all his kingdom. Let all that I am praise the Lord. Psalms 103:19-22 (NLT) So we must listen very carefully to the truth we have heard, or we may drift away from it. For the message God delivered through angels has always stood firm, and every violation of the law and every act of disobedience was punished. Hebrews 2:1-2 (NLT)

calling out to LORD-God

But everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved, for some on Mount Zion in Jerusalem will escape, just as the Lord has said. These will be among the survivors whom the Lord has called. Joel 2:32 (NLT) For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Romans 10:13 (NLT) I call upon your name and ask for your forgiveness and mercy for my sins. Direct my pathway; keep me safe from others and myself. I pray for the safety of our country/leadership. Send your mercy and forgiveness, for we have sinned. Grant your forgiveness. Bring forth your ways upon our people.

beginnings

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1 (NLT) In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1 (NLT) In the beginning You laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of Your hands. Psalm 102:25 (NLT) For the LORD is God, and he created the heavens and earth and put everything in place. He made the world to be lived in, not to be a place of empty chaos. “I am the LORD,” he says, “and there is no other. Isaiah 45:18 (NLT) But the LORD made the earth by his power, and he preserves it by his wisdom. With his own understanding he stretched out the heavens. Jeremiah 10:12 (NLT)

hear me answer

Look around you. I have not left, nor am I hiding from you. Turn over the rock or climb the mountain. I will be there. I still walk upon the waves of the water. Call for me and hear me answer.

prayer

Find me, my father for I feel lost. Clouds obscure and my path. I need your clear direction. I am muffled among the past, yet not recognizing the way for this day or the next. Help me to recognize you, again.

when you pray

Watch for me. You will find me and the answers you seek if you are patient. Ask me and see if I will not answer. Draw closer. There is no reason for fear. Now seek the Lord your God with all your heart and soul. Build the sanctuary of the Lord God so that you can bring the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant and the holy vessels of God into the Temple built to honor the Lord’s name. 1 Chronicles 22:19 (NLT) In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me. I will be found by you,” says the Lord. “I will end your captivity and restore your fortunes. I will gather you out of the nations where I sent you and will bring you home again to your own land." ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭29:12-14‬ ‭(NLT‬‬)

the glory...

You are glorious. I thank you for what you have shown me in my past. You alone are holy and worthy of praise. Have mercy upon me. Continue to show your mercy and help me be where you would sit me. Wise words are like deep waters; wisdom flows from the wise like a bubbling brook.” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭18:4‬ ‭(NLT‬‬) Suddenly, the glory of the God of Israel appeared from the east. The sound of his coming was like the roar of rushing waters, and the whole landscape shone with his glory. This vision was just like the others I had seen, first by the Kebar River and then when he came to destroy Jerusalem. I fell face down on the ground. And the glory of the Lord came into the Temple through the east gateway. ‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭43:2-4‬ ‭(NLT‬‬)

on the tracks

Like a train sitting on the tracks Right now I stand before you. Believe my word and not what you see. Right now I am speaking, to you, speaking through you to spread my light. I AM the healer. Right now I command you to speak Into your life my words. Release the Truth I have already planted.

foundations

Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne.  Unfailing love and truth walk before you as attendants. Happy are those who hear the joyful call to worship, for they will walk in the light of your presence, Lord. They rejoice all day long in your wonderful reputation. They exult in your righteousness. You are their glorious strength. It pleases you to make us strong. Yes, our protection comes from the Lord, and he, the Holy One of Israel, has given us our king.   Psalms 89:14-18 (NLT)

I am unchanging

I am unchanging. My ways and my heart remain steadfast. Be confident in what I am doing. My word remains true. Yes, I have called you into my work. I have called you into freedom so others may hear my voice.  Only in me is there freedom. Fear not, but break the atmosphere with my living word. Speak what I shall tell you. Bring life. Be my deliverer. This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says: Only in returning to me and resting in me will you be saved. In quietness and confidence is your strength. Isaiah‬ ‭30:15‬ ‭(NLT) “The day is coming,” says the Lord, “when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and Judah. This covenant will not be like the one I made with their ancestors when I took them by the hand and brought them out of the land of Egypt. They broke that covenant, though I loved them as a husband loves his wife,” says the Lord. “But this is the new covenant I will make with the people of Israel after those days,”  says the Lord. “I will put my i

From the beginning

From the beginning          t he covering was formed for you,           I spoke into existence all things           you would ever need. You can still walk in that. Follow after me. I am here for you. It is the Lord who provides the sun to light the day and the moon and stars to light the night, and who stirs the sea into roaring waves. His name is the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, and this is what he says: “I am as likely to reject my people Israel as I am to abolish the laws of nature!” This is what the Lord says: “Just as the heavens cannot be measured and the foundations of the earth cannot be explored, so I will not consider casting them away for the evil they have done. I, the Lord, have spoken!” Jeremiah‬ ‭31:35-37‬ (‭NLT‬‬)

in the shelter of the Most High

Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him. For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease. He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection. Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day. Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness, nor the disaster that strikes at midday. Though a thousand fall at your side, though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you. Just open your eyes, and see how the wicked are punished. If you make the Lord your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter, no evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your home. For he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go. They will hold you up with their hands so you won’t even hur

asking-receiving

Do not listen to what the others may say, but follow me. Listen for my voice of direction and go that way. I am the way you should be going. Ask for my direction and receive it. Believe that I am active.

views of Him

You are dressed in a robe of light. You stretch out the starry curtain of the heavens; you lay out the rafters of your home in the rain clouds. You make the clouds your chariot; you ride upon the wings of the wind. The winds are your messengers; flames of fire are your servants. ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭104:2-4‬ (‭NLT‬‬) How lovely is your dwelling place, O Lord of Heaven’s Armies. I long, yes, I faint with longing to enter the courts of the Lord. With my whole being, body and soul, I will shout joyfully to the living God. Even the sparrow finds a home, and the swallow builds her nest and raises her young at a place near your altar, O Lord of Heaven’s Armies, my King and my God! What joy for those who can live in your house, always singing your praises. Interlude ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭84:1-4‬ (‭NLT‬‬) Hi God, it’s me, Steve. Thank you  for your hand of direction which has been on my life. For keeping me safe from myself and my enemies For your ever-lasting love in your patience with me. Once again: I am askin

mimic me

Training. Be patient and mimic me. Reflect upon my words. In one of the villages, Jesus met a man with an advanced case of leprosy. When the man saw Jesus, he bowed with his face to the ground, begging to be healed. “Lord,” he said, “if you are willing, you can heal me and make me clean.” Jesus reached out and touched him. “I am willing,” he said. “Be healed!” And instantly the leprosy disappeared.” ‭‭Luke‬ ‭5:12-13 (‭NLT) But when Elisha, the man of God, heard that the king of Israel had torn his clothes in dismay, he sent this message to him: “Why are you so upset? Send Naaman to me, and he will learn that there is a true prophet here in Israel.” So Naaman went with his horses and chariots and waited at the door of Elisha’s house. But Elisha sent a messenger out to him with this message: “Go and wash yourself seven times in the Jordan River. Then your skin will be restored, and you will be healed of your leprosy.” But Naaman became angry and stalked away. “I thought he would certai

be looking forward

Let the heavens be glad, and the earth rejoice! Let the sea and everything in it shout his praise! Let the fields and their crops burst out with joy! Let the trees of the forest sing for joy before the Lord, for he is coming! He is coming to judge the earth. He will judge the world with justice, and the nations with his truth. ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭96:11-13‬ ‭(NLT‬‬) Don’t be looking behind at what you missed or where you may have failed. But look forward. Look ahead towards me. I am leading you; directing you to the horizons I have set for you. I am here with and there with you when you arrive. There is nothing too hard for me to accomplish thru you. On the day the Lord gave the Israelites victory over the Amorites, Joshua prayed to the Lord in front of all the people of Israel. He said, “Let the sun stand still over Gibeon, and the moon over the valley of Aijalon.” So the sun stood still and the moon stayed in place until the nation of Israel had defeated its enemies. Is this event not recorded

Be still

Be still. Quiet yourself and experience what I set before you. Allow my direction to show you the way. Let me expand upon what you now think you know. Breath in the peace I offer.

rekindle the fire

I am reminded by you Father of my need. Draw me closer to you. May I not be ashamed. Turn me in the right direction. Clothe me in what you have created for me. Rekindle the fire within. The fire on the altar must be kept burning; it must not go out. Leviticus 6:12a (NIV)

cleansing

Wash in the water of my word, refresh yourself in me. Remove the grime which settles upon you. Dress yourself in my ways. Take off your impatient attitude and cover yourself in me.

cherubim

I looked, and each of the four cherubim had a wheel beside him, and the wheels sparkled like beryl. All four wheels looked alike and were made the same; each wheel had a second wheel turning crosswise within it. The cherubim could move in any of the four directions they faced, without turning as they moved. They went straight in the direction they faced, never turning aside. Both the cherubim and the wheels were covered with eyes. The cherubim had eyes all over their bodies, including their hands, their backs, and their wings. I heard someone refer to the wheels as “the whirling wheels.” Each of the four cherubim had four faces: the first was the face of an ox, the second was a human face, the third was the face of a lion, and the fourth was the face of an eagle. Then the cherubim rose upward. These were the same living beings I had seen beside the Kebar River. ‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭10:9-15‬ ‭(NLT)

Look to me

So Moses and Aaron were brought back to Pharaoh. “All right,” he told them, “go and worship the Lord your God. But who exactly will be going with you?” Exodus 10:8 (NLT) When the LORD commanded the man dressed in linen, “Take fire from within the wheelwork, from among the cherubim,” the man went in and stood by one of the wheels. Then one of the cherubim stretched out his hand toward the fire which was among the cherubim. He took some and put it into the hands of the man dressed in linen, who took it and left. (The cherubim appeared to have the form of human hands under their wings.) ‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭10:6-8‬ ‭(NET‬‬) Do not be distracted by the lies of the enemy. Know my word. Focus upon my ways. Do not live in fear. Learn truth and the ways of my son. He and I are the same. He is truth and light of the world. In him there is no deception. Fear not, for I am ever-present and true. Cast away all doubt and deception. Reply upon my Word. And grow in my ways. Become a reflection of me.

the seventh day

When the LORD commanded the man dressed in linen, “Take fire from within the wheelwork, from among the cherubim,” the man went in and stood by one of the wheels. Then one of the cherubim stretched out his hand toward the fire which was among the cherubim. He took some and put it into the hands of the man dressed in linen, who took it and left. (The cherubim appeared to have the form of human hands under their wings.) ‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭10:6-8‬ ‭(NET‬‬) Learn my expectation. Be patient and love those I love. I will show you what is important if you are patient in asking. Receive me, as I am ready By the seventh day God finished the work that he had been doing, and he ceased on the seventh day all the work that he had been doing. God blessed the seventh day and made it holy because on it he ceased all the work that he had been doing in creation. ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭2:2-3‬ ‭(NET‬‬)

speak to them

I have planted my seed within you. If you listen,  you can hear me. Watch for me and there I will be. I am drawing you to me. I am calling your name to come closer. In you times of quiet you will sense me, as you grow in my ways. I have called you to speak my word to those I direct to you. Then the spirit of the LORD will rush upon you and you will prophesy with them. You will be changed into a different person. 1 Samuel 10:6 (NET)

the only light

Then the glory of the LORD arose from the cherub and moved to the threshold of the temple. The temple was filled with the cloud while the court was filled  with the brightness of the LORD’s glory. The sound of the wings of the cherubim could be heard from the outer court, like the sound of the sovereign God when he speaks. Ezekiel 10:4-5 (NET) I am the only truth and the only light. What I have shown you in the past remains true. I am unchanging. I have not changed my thoughts for you. Nor have my plans for you been altered. You are mine. My light shines from within you. My word will continue to direct you. There is a table directly in front of you. Sit with me and receive what I offer. Each day, come to me and seek my face. I am yet what you are searching.

How are you doing?

T hey will ask you how you’re doing and will give you two loaves of bread. You will accept them. 1 Samuel 10:4 (NET )

the changing

The LORD bless you and protect you; The LORD make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you; The LORD lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. So they will put my name on the Israelites, and I will bless them. Numbers 6:24-27 (NET) As one season ends, another is already beginning. They will ask you how you’re doing and will give you two loaves of bread. You will accept them. ‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭10:4‬ ‭(NET‬‬)

what do you see?

Then the Lord said to me, “Look, Jeremiah! What do you see?” And I replied, “I see a branch from an almond tree.” And the Lord said, “That’s right, and it means that I am watching, and I will certainly carry out all my plans.” Jeremiah 1:11-12 (NLT) Watch where you walk and where you set your feet. Be slow to judge those you see. They too are mine. They are of great value to my kingdom. Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4:6-7‬ ‭(NLT‬‬)

revealing

Be prepared. I am about to show myself to you. I am about to reveal aspects of me you have yet to experience or recognize. Come with an expectation that I am answering your questions, but not as how you will expect. I will reveal my heart. Will you be ready to recognize me?

recognize me

I am with you now. In every new day I am there. I am your protection and direction. I am what you continue to search for. Learn to recognize my ways. Listen for me and soak in my presence. O Jerusalem, I have posted watchmen on your walls; they will pray day and night, continually. Take no rest, all you who pray to the Lord. Give the Lord no rest until he completes his work, until he makes Jerusalem the pride of the earth. ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭62:6-7‬ ‭(NLT)
