the table of bread

“You must take choice wheat flour and bake twelve loaves; there must be two tenths of an ephah of flour in each loaf, and you must set them in two rows, six in a row, on the ceremonially pure table before the LORD. You must put pure frankincense on each row, and it will become a memorial portion for the bread, a gift to the LORD. Each Sabbath day Aaron must arrange it before the LORD continually; this portion is from the Israelites as a perpetual covenant. Leviticus 24:5-8 (NET)

in remembrance of Me

Then He took a loaf [of bread], and when He had given thanks, He broke [it] and gave it to them saying, This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me. Luke 22:19 (AMP)

Mark's remembrance of a feeding

But they said, "We have only five small loaves of bread and two fish." Jesus asked his disciples to bring the food to him, and he told the crowd to sit down on the grass. Jesus took the five loaves and the two fish. He looked up toward heaven and blessed the food. Then he broke the bread and handed it to his disciples, and they gave it to the people. After everyone had eaten all they wanted, Jesus' disciples picked up twelve large baskets of leftovers. Matthew 14:17-20 (CEV)

Old Testament preview of the New Testament loaves and fishes

A man came from Baal-shalishah, bringing the man of God bread of the firstfruits, twenty loaves of barley and fresh ears of grain in his sack. And Elisha said, “Give to the men, that they may eat.” But his servant said, “How can I set this before a hundred men?” So he repeated, “Give them to the men, that they may eat, for thus says the LORD, ‘They shall eat and have some left.’ ” So he set it before them. And they ate and had some left, according to the word of the LORD. 2 Kings 4:42-44 (ESV)

I will be found

When the LORD saw that he had turned aside to look, God called to him from within the bush and said, “Moses, Moses!” And Moses said, “Here I am.” Exodus 3:4 (NET) As the light of the sun warms the atmosphere rising energy is released. It is time for you to be lifted up in the light of the Son. Look: I am here. I’ve been waiting for you to slow your walk and turn aside. Turn aside to me and I will answer. Drawing nearer and I will call out your name. Allow me to draw you near. It is time that you again grow in the ways I have for you. Look for me and I will be found.

in our midst

The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our Refuge (our Fortress and High Tower). Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]! Come, behold the works of the Lord, Who has wrought desolations and wonders in the earth. He makes wars to cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow into pieces and snaps the spear in two; He burns the chariots in the fire. Let be and be still, and know (recognize and understand) that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth! The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our Refuge (our High Tower and Stronghold). Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]! Psalm 46:7-11 (AMP)

the spirit of God moving

As I watched, I noticed a windstorm coming from the north — an enormous cloud, with lightning flashing, such that bright light rimmed it and came from it like glowing amber from the middle of a fire. In the fire were what looked like four living beings. In their appearance they had human form, but each had four faces and four wings. Their legs were straight, but the soles of their feet were like calves’ feet. They gleamed like polished bronze. They had human hands under their wings on their four sides. As for the faces and wings of the four of them, their wings touched each other; they did not turn as they moved, but went straight ahead. Ezekiel 1:4-9 (NET)

verse of first mention

So now restore to the man his wife, for he is a prophet, and he will pray for you and you will live. But if you do not restore her [to him], know that you shall surely die, you and all who are yours. Genesis 20:7 (AMP)

a time for healing

But for you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness shall rise with healing in its wings. You shall go out leaping like calves from the stall. Malachi 4:2 (ESV)

sometimes God is standing nearby and we see him not…

Now the boy Samuel continued serving the LORD under Eli’s supervision. Word from the LORD was rare in those days; revelatory visions were infrequent. 1 Samuel 3:1 (NET) Then the LORD came and stood nearby, calling as he had previously done, “Samuel! Samuel!” Samuel replied, “Speak, for your servant is listening!” The LORD said to Samuel, “Look! I am about to do something in Israel; when anyone hears about it, both of his ears will tingle. 1 Samuel 3:10-11 (NET)

getting carried away…

Then a wind lifted me up and I heard a great rumbling sound behind me as the glory of the LORD rose from its place, and the sound of the living beings’ wings brushing against each other, and the sound of the wheels alongside them, a great rumbling sound. A wind lifted me up and carried me away. I went bitterly, my spirit full of fury, and the hand of the LORD rested powerfully on me. Ezekiel 3:12-14 (NET)

a view about the throne from John

Also before the throne there was what looked like a sea of glass, clear as crystal. In the center, around the throne, were four living creatures, and they were covered with eyes, in front and in back. The first living creature was like a lion, the second was like an ox, the third had a face like a man, the fourth was like a flying eagle. Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under his wings. Day and night they never stop saying: "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come." Revelation 4:6-8 (NIV)

under his wings

He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. Psalm 91:4 (NIV) I caught a glimpse of this verse Sunday. During service pastor had the elders and leaders in the aisles praying for those who needed prayer. I felt a large darkness over-shadow the congregation. When I looked up, I could see a wing, and it’s feathers. It left a sense of peacefulness and safety.

God’s way

" The wind blows where it wishes and you hear the sound of it, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going; so is everyone who is born of the Spirit."  John 3:8 (NASB77)

I am sending you

Now the Angel of the LORD came and sat under the terebinth tree which was in Ophrah, which belonged to Joash the Abiezrite, while his son Gideon threshed wheat in the winepress, in order to hide it from the Midianites. And the Angel of the LORD appeared to him, and said to him, "The LORD is with you, you mighty man of valor!" Judges 6:11-12 It is time for you to come out. Stop hiding in the winepress. You have been working in places I have not meant for you to be. You know whom you are.  Now believe me and what I've said to you. You are like Gideon cowering in the winepress, yet the one who led my people. I have formed you with purpose. You are created and formed for the purposes of moving forward my kingdom. My ways reside within you. What you need is available. You have been found strong through the pressure of my guidance. The enemy looks away from your eyes, as he sees me when he looks at you. Shed the cover of night. Come forth from beneath that press. I am

The splendor of the LORD

“Arise! Shine! For your light arrives! The splendor of the LORD shines on you! For, look, darkness covers the earth and deep darkness covers the nations, but the LORD shines on you; his splendor appears over you. Isaiah 60:1-2 (NET)

do not be silent

The Lord said to Paul by a vision in the night, “Do not be afraid, but speak and do not be silent, because I am with you, and no one will assault you to harm you, because I have many people in this city.” So he stayed there a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them. Acts 18:9-11 (NET)

Word for Maria

Word for Maria Deck You may see darkness, but I am much more. I am opening up in you a new horizon. I will push away the darkness. Through you my truth will dispel lies. I know and you know that what they say are lies. Continue to trust in me.

I have made you

As for you, son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel. Whenever you hear a word from my mouth, you must warn them on my behalf.  Ezekiel 33:7 (NET)

Keep looking

It has been a cool spring. It is very wet and rainy in our area of the country. But lately I’ve seen the green thicken in the woodsy area where I walk the dogs. Places where I few weeks ago I could see several hundred feet into the woods, where now the view is quickly obstructed with thickness and depth. Today as I was walking I heard God say, Be more like the dogs. Look forward with expectation. Look past the obvious, through the expected and into what I shall show you. Keep looking. This is not a time to be disquieted by what you don't see or think you should see. Allow me to direct you. Do not always be looking for what you already know, but allow me bring newness into your vision. If you trust me I will open you into a new world. Allow me to align your ways with my ways, to bring my thoughts into your being and interpret them with my lens.

messengers

Manoah said to the LORD’s messenger, “Please stay here awhile, so we can prepare a young goat for you to eat.” The LORD’s messenger said to Manoah, “If I stay, I will not eat your food. But if you want to make a burnt sacrifice to the LORD, you should offer it.” (He said this because Manoah did not know that he was the LORD’s messenger.) Manoah said to the LORD’s messenger, “Tell us your name, so we can honor you when your announcement comes true.” The LORD’s messenger said to him, “You should not ask me my name, because you cannot comprehend it.” Manoah took a young goat and a grain offering and offered them on a rock to the LORD. The LORD’s messenger did an amazing thing as Manoah and his wife watched. As the flame went up from the altar toward the sky, the LORD’s messenger went up in it while Manoah and his wife watched. They fell facedown to the ground. Judges 13:15-20 (NET)
