Pentecost - the waiting and release

“On the day of Pentecost all the believers were meeting together in one place. Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting. Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them. And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability.”    Acts of the Apostles 2:1-4 (NLT) In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God.  God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him. The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.  John 1:1, 3-5 (NLT) Sometimes we wait. We expect something and then can become cynical or despondent. We expected God to show himself. We cast doubt on the prophets who told us to a

the way of escape

Come beneath my shelter.  I AM your way of escape. Fear not the assaults of the enemy.  My wings afford the hiding place for those who draw near to me. Escape into the heavenlies I shall begin to ex[pose to you. I will take you again into high places. I will feed you from my table. Escape the wounding of the enemy and be healed. Grow strong in me  and flow in my ways. Walk in safety where I place you.  Release what I have set inside of you. It is for others needing healing. Escape and leave behind your feelings of failure. Become whole in me. Grow in the stature I have placed within you. My Spirit will flow from you  as you follow my direction. Let fear be no more part of which forms what you do. Listen carefully and you will hear with clarity. so he explained it to them: “I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep.  All who came before me were thieves and robbers. But the true sheep did not listen to them. Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through

time of training

This is yet a time of training. Your work is important, but not done alone. There are many of you pulling the load specifically placed within. Each important to reach the lost and the hurting. Do not wander about, but stay on track. Do what I have created you to do. Be observant and respond as I lead you. Do not fear, for I am with you. Be encouraged in what I show you. Let humility become your cloak. I have laid out my plan for you. Walk upright in my love. Reach those upon your pathway. Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling,  for you have been called by God. Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love.  Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace. For there is one body and one Spirit, just as you have been called to one glorious hope for the future.  Ephesians 4:1-4 (NLT)

out of the shadows

Look about. Take the time. What you perceive is how you live. There is no need for fear. Am I not your creature/protector? Trust in what I tell you.  Live in the light of my holiness. Each day, wash yourself in my Word, so I might bless those who come across your pathway.  Cast aside fear, but live in my light. Right now, I am calling your name. Are you willing to step out of the shadows of your past and into the light of my presence? It is time for you to come forth into what I’ve created for you to be. So Elijah went and found Elisha son of Shaphat plowing a field. There were twelve teams of oxen in the field, and Elisha was plowing with the twelfth team. Elijah went over to him and threw his cloak across his shoulders and then walked away.  1 Kings 19:19 (NLT)

lessons to be learned

Teach me your decrees, O Lord; I will keep them to the end.  Give me understanding and I will obey your instructions;   I will put them into practice with all my heart.  Make me walk along the path of your commands, for that is where my happiness is found. Give me an eagerness for your laws rather than a love for money!  Turn my eyes from worthless things, and give me life through your word.  Reassure me of your promise, made to those who fear you.  Help me abandon my shameful ways; for your regulations are good.  I long to obey your commandments! Renew my life with your goodness. Psalms 119:33-40 (NLT)

Look ahead

Don’t be caught looking in the past. Do not lose your way in the things which might have been. I was with you then, and I am yet ever with you. Focus upon me now.  Look ahead to the things I have for you to accomplish. My promises have not been rescinded.  I have not changed my mind or the plans which I have for you.  Look ahead. I will never leave you. I Am yet there awaiting you. Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me. John 15:4 (NLT)

For the ones seeking my direction

Do not be silent, but Speak my word. I will  show you what it is they need. Reflect my love for them in their need. I will show you pictures so you might know what to pray. Let my love and acceptance cover them in safety. Release healing in the words I grant to you. Feed them my word in the manner you have received from me. Draw them closer into my fold. Speak provision and protection into their pathway. A s you grow, more will brought into your pathway. “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously,  and he will give you everything you need. “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.” Matthew 6:33-34 (NLT)

As I learn

Oh, that my actions would consistently reflect your decrees!  Then I will not be ashamed when I compare my life with your commands.  As I learn your righteous regulations, I will thank you by living as I should!  I will obey your decrees. Please don’t give up on me! Psalms 119:5-8 (NLT)

What are you doing?

What are you doing with what you have received? If you do not exercise, it will weaken and die.  If you do not use that which you have given to you, how will it ever grow and help the others?  My light is to be freely given away, not safely kept hidden. Allow my power to not only to bring your healing and wholeness but to be freely spread upon those I place in your everyday pathway. You are my representative of the kingdom of GOD. You are my ambassador of life and light to fulfill the plan I share with you. Be bold and courageous in that I show you.  Be found doing. Be found so my light may shine in the darkness of the world. Jesus replied, “My light will shine for you just a little longer.  Walk in the light while you can, so the darkness will not overtake you.  Those who walk in the darkness cannot see where they are going.  Put your trust in the light while there is still time;  then you will become children of the light.”  After saying these things, Jesus went away

Learning to listen

My apologies for not posting this short word yesterday. Sometimes we think things should be longer and misjudge what we receive by wrong measurement. for 5/21/2020 and the days yet to arrive. Do not think I have forgotten you. ======================= For 05/22 and those days yet to unfold. Do not be confused by the chatter of the enemy leading to in every direction. He comes to kill, steal and destroy your relationships. He dishonors me. Look for me. I am here in each season, guiding you. Sit with me and receive your healing. Allow me to touch you. Listen for my heart speaking to you, and obey. There you will find growth and maturity. In me you will find the peace. Recognize the whisper of my voice, see the leading of my eyes. Be sure in me and not what the world is showing.

new things

I am all about you. Wherever you go, I am present. There is no place that you can hide you from my love. Look back at the periods of your life. I was with you then, even as now. My hand was directing and protecting you; providing what was needed for your growth. I am not yet finished with you. There are new things I need you to do. There are ways I wish to still grow in you, to build my kingdom. Watch for me and the opportunities I shall in in your way. Recognize my hand of guidance and provision.

as I love you

It’s time to stop focusing upon what you think you see.  Don’t allow your feelings of tension and distrust affect what I’ve called you to be doing. Walk in my light. I’ll illuminate what you should see. I’ll show you hidden things to bring to light. Be my ambassador of light. Offer yourself to others. Show them my love, as I love you.

Seta Hammahlekoth

So Saul quit chasing David and returned to fight the Philistines.  Ever since that time, the place where David was camped has been called the Rock of Escape.  1 Samuel 23:28 (NLT) You, my Lord, are my rock of escape; the place where I find rest and safety. I draw nearer to a sanctuary where clarity and peace enfold me. They cover my life from the poisoned intrusions create to cause confusion and grief. You are a constant, never-changing. You are healing for my soul and body. Your spirit covers over me, hiding me from the spiteful arrows of the evil-one. You are my bread of life. Your blood has paid my price.

For you- the one searching

Stop resisting.  Without me you will have no peace. Allow me to lead you in my ways; to show you life.

where is your focus?

What are you doing with what you have been given?  Has it been planted and multiplied? Have you cast your seed or are you still holding onto it?  Where is your focus, the soil or the seed? Don’t let those dreams die, shriveled up, never cast to the soil. Become my broadcaster. Share what you have so I can give you more. You asked for opportunity to grow. What have you done? What is driving you. where is your focus? Shift your ways and  become productive for my kingdom.

Believing

Become childlike and believe. Ask me for those things which weigh upon your heart. Do you not think I can still heal the broken bodies and lost dreams? Ask me for the souls of the thousands currently do not know me, lost in their self-lives. I can still do these things, but you are my extension. Speak to those lost and hurting. Speak life into their situations.  Believe I still care; I am yet the creator, the Father-God of all. Be found doing the things I do and show to you. But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them sing joyful praises forever. Spread your protection over them, that all who love your name may be filled with joy. For you bless the godly, O Lord; you surround them with your shield of love. Psalms 5:11-12 (NLT)

surround us in these times

But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them sing joyful praises forever.  Spread your protection over them, that all who love your name may be filled with joy. For you bless the godly, O Lord; you surround them with your shield of love. Psalms 5:11-12 (NLT)

Is this you?

So those who are smart keep their mouths shut, for it is an evil time.  Amos 5:13 (NLT) Consider this verse for this date.   How does it reflect upon your heart?  How does it reflect upon your life?

What do you see

I want you to close your eyes and relax.  What do you see? I have given you all things. Inhale deeply and sense the love I have for you. Exhale slowly and open your eyes to my ways. I am directly in front of you. Reach out and let me touch you. Allow my Spirit to envelop you with an ever-lasting peace. Toss away the coat of heaviness the enemy wishes you to wear. Become cloaked in my love. Soak in the power of my creative ways.  Be secure in those things I have told you. They will yet mature. For we were not making up clever stories when we told you about the powerful coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. We saw his majestic splendor with our own eyes when he received honor and glory from God the Father. The voice from the majestic glory of God said to him, “This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy.”  We ourselves heard that voice from heaven when we were with him on the holy mountain.  2 Peter 1:16-18 (NLT)

in my behalf

In the silence of self, I sit condemned and confused.  That inward glaring penetrates deeply, bringing false accusation.  Yet it is not I who makes judgement. While I may listen to the accuser I must realize the lies he wishes me to believe. While he has already lost, I need not believe his deception.  I can walk in truth. I can learn to accept the ruling already made in my beh alf. “The Lord is good to those who depend on him, to those who search for him. So it is good to wait quietly for salvation from the Lord. And it is good for people to submit at an early age to the yoke of his discipline: You heard me when I cried, “Listen to my pleading! Hear my cry for help!” Yes, you came when I called; you told me, “Do not fear.” Lord, you have come to my defense; you have redeemed my life.”  Lamentations 3:25-27, 56-58 (NLT)

waiting

Sometimes we need to refocus ourselves. We can become lost and confused when we gaze at self, or sorrowful and bitter when we see the wounds of others, so turn to Him. He does not forget us, but is ever-present; ever-loving; everlasting. Reread the words of the prophet Jeremiah as he lamented over Israel. The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. I say to myself, “The Lord is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him!” The Lord is good to those who depend on him, to those who search for him. So it is good to wait quietly for salvation from the Lord. Lamentations 3:22-26 (NLT)

direction and encouragement

It's me Father-God. Holy is your name and all that you do. Point me in the direction I should be heading. Patiently give me direction and encouragement. Help my vision to see clearly the things I should see. If others see me, allow them to see you and not my attitude. Thank you for helping me in the circumstances of my past and those yet to be unfolded before me. Allow me to reflect your ways to others. Teach me patience for others, as you have shown great patience with me. Allow me to again see your glory and walk in your ways.  AMEN.

Attention to the details

“Now summon all Israel to join me at Mount Carmel, along with the 450 prophets of Baal and the 400 prophets of Asherah who are supported by Jezebel. ” So Ahab summoned all the people of Israel and the prophets to Mount Carmel.” 1 Kings 18:19-20 (NLT) We are given stories in the Bible as examples. Some of the stories we blow through and others we read more carefully.  Sometimes we become so familiar with them., we can miss the why or how they can be important for our daily lives. I’ve always been drawn to the stories about His prophets. In I Kings 18, we can see Him against the prophet of Jezebel.  The losers would forfeit their lives.  After taunting them false prophets, it was his turn.   Elijah called to God to have fire consume the bull upon the alter.  After dousing the alter with water, in the time of drought,  God miraculously responded. “Then Elijah commanded, “Seize all the prophets of Baal. Don’t let a single one escape!” So the people seized them all, and Elijah took

Missing the obvious

Ever wonder if we overlook too much.  Sometimes in retrospect things seem very obvious. Note this story, talking about the birth announcement of Sampson. It is only one of three such stories where the angel of the LORD comes to announce a birth.  “In those days a man named Manoah from the tribe of Dan lived in the town of Zorah. His wife was unable to become pregnant, and they had no children. The angel of the Lord appeared to Manoah’s wife and said, “Even though you have been unable to have children, you will soon become pregnant and give birth to a son.” Judges 13:2-3 (NLT) God answered Manoah’s prayer, and the angel of God appeared once again to his wife as  she was sitting in the field. But her husband, Manoah, was not with her.Manoah ran back with his wife and asked, “Are you the man who spoke to my wife the other day?” “Yes,” he replied, “I am.” “I will stay,” the angel of the Lord replied, “but I will not eat anything. However, you may prepare a burnt offering as a s

Allow me

Don’t waste this time to draw nearer to me. Come and sit. Hush from your talking and thinking. Clean yourself, soak in me. Allow me to bring the changes. Stop worrying about the “why’s”.  I need you to be rested and nourished in me.  Recognize my leading you into new ways.  Learn not react to what you see, but respond to my leading.  Learn to quiet yourself. I am what you are looking for.  I am what the world needs. As evening came, Jesus said to his disciples, “Let’s cross  to the other side of the lake. So they took Jesus in the boat  and started out, leaving the crowds behind  (although other boats followed). Mark 4:35-36 (NLT)

Listen to what I speak to you

“I stood as an intermediary between you and the Lord, for you were afraid of the fire  and did not want to approach the mountain. He spoke to me, and I passed his words  on to you. This is what he said:”   Deuteronomy 5:5 (NLT) Listen to me and what I say. I am speaking to you and through you to others. I have created opportunities for you to prosper in me. I am the creator God of blessing. All things were created by me. I have made you in my image. I created all things for you. Listen to me when I speak to you. Listen carefully, as I have things for you to do. I have gifted you and others to work together and accomplish my will. Listen to me and what I say to you and through others. Walk in my truth and love. Speak encouragement to those in need. Demonstrate my ways to them. You are my image. Speak my love.

Do not struggle

Trust me. Do not struggle in this time of confusion and turbulence, I have not changed. Fo llow me to work through you; follow the ideas I send to you. Reach out and see if I do not answer your questions. I will supply.  I am watching over those who call to me; wooing you closer in your walk with me. Trust in me and not the circumstances which show themselves. I will conquer those who spread confusion and hatred. Unchanged are my plans and heart for you. Trust in what I tell you. I am releasing healing into your situation. You are mine: Be whole.

matin

Open our heart to hear what you are saying to us .   Turn us away from our willing disregard of sin against one another and you. Wash my heart so I might clearly hear you.  Grant me the necessary understanding. Soften me so I can draw closer to you holy ways. Grant us your dreams and visions of direction. Speak to my heart.  Give wisdom to know when to be quiet and when to share.  I pray for your the safety and workings of our leader of every level. Drive them to you. Keep us safe from our enemies.  Amen.  The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters.  And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters.   Genesis 1:2 (NLT)

Evening Prayer

In the quiet of this evening I thank you; for all the ways you have watched over me and protected me from my enemies and myself. Help me to quiet myself and draw nearer to you. I ask for your blessing of presence. Change me into someone you can use; that other may come to know you and your love for them. Forgive my selfishness and greed. Help me to become whom you have modelled for me to be. Grant me your understanding and knowledge and not to be a fool.   AMEN The discerning heart seeks knowledge,      but the mouth of a fool feeds on folly. Proverbs 15:14 (NIV)

May Day, May Day!!

“This is the written account of the descendants of Adam. When God created human beings, he made them to be like himself.” Genesis 5:1 (NLT) It’s a new month. As I was thinking and praying today I kept hearing the phrase “May Day, May Day!!”  Growing up when I did, That “May Day” phrase has a distinct, tense tone to it. There was on oncoming situation which needed immediate help. There are those who are called into action.  There has been a time of training. Now the help can come into purposeful action.  As we were created to be like God, we need not be fooled or caught unready. He can be assured in what we are called to do. We can step directly into a situation and receive specific instruction. We can ask and receive for those in the time of trouble.  We can imitate his heart in all we do. “Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children.” Ephesians 5:1 (NLT) Father-God, I ask that you would speak peace into our hearts, so we might imitate
