your opportunity

Today I invoke heaven and earth as a witness against you that I have set life and death, blessing and curse, before you. Therefore choose life so that you and your descendants may live!  Deuteronomy 30:19 (NET)

my words

“Everyone who comes to me and listens to my words and puts them into practice — I will show you what he is like: He is like a man building a house, who dug down deep, and laid the foundation on bedrock. When a flood came, the river burst against that house but could not shake it, because it had been well built. Luke 6:47-48 (NET)

Psalm 150

Praise the Lord! Praise God in his sanctuary! Praise him in the sky, which testifies to his strength! Praise him for his mighty acts! Praise him for his surpassing greatness! Praise him with the blast of the horn! Praise him with the lyre and the harp! Praise him with the tambourine and with dancing! Praise him with stringed instruments and the flute! Praise him with loud cymbals! Praise him with clanging cymbals! Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! Praise the Lord! Psalm 150:1-6 (NET)

enlarge your border

The sons of the prophets said to Elisha, "Please notice that the place where we live under your supervision is too small for us. Please let us go to the Jordan where we can each get a log and can build ourselves a place to live there." "Go," he said.                            2 Kings 6:1-2 (HCSB) The Holy Spirit is encouraging many of you to expand your thoughts and ways of God; you are to enlarge your borders. You've come through a distinct period of training, and now it's time to be sent out. Go forth and practice which has been deposited within you. There is no failure for those who believe and trust in the Father. You are not alone.  He will not forsake you, but is constantly watching over you, offering direction. Examine your ways so you might leave behind those things which hinder you drawing closer. There is a place for you. It is yet beyond the safety net you've established. You are being called to move into the deeper waters of

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink, or about your body, what you will wear. Isn’t there more to life than food and more to the body than clothing? Look at the birds in the sky: They do not sow, or reap, or gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you more valuable than they are? Matthew 6:25-26 (NET)

over and beside you

He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber. Indeed, he who watches over Israel never slumbers or sleeps. The Lord himself watches over you! The Lord stands beside you as your protective shade. Psalm 121:3-5 (NLT)

what are you passing on?

He picked up Elijah’s cloak, which had fallen off him, and went back and stood on the shore of the Jordan. He took the cloak that had fallen off Elijah, hit the water with it, and said, “Where is the Lord, the God of Elijah?” When he hit the water, it divided and Elisha crossed over. 2 Kings 2:13-14 (NET)

a new season

"Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you  the kingdom.  Luke 12:32 (RSV) Fear not, I am yet with you. I am yet with you. Do not allow anxiety to rob you. My peace remains for you. Fuel up in me and walk with me. I declare this a new season, a period of time when you shall draw closer to me. A time when you can hear more of me and how I am communicating my ways. My peace can be yours. There is great grace for those who will ask and expect to receive from me. My Spirit of life fills you. My characteristics are embedded within you as you grow in my peace and power is shown. Fear not, I am yet in control. My plans are being carried out. My Word is ever-living in this new season .

three in one

So Jesus answered them, "I tell you the solemn truth, the Son can do nothing on his own initiative, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, the Son does likewise. For the Father loves the Son and shows him everything he does, and will show him greater deeds than these, so that you will be amazed. John 5:19-20 (NET) I was recently shown a very short vision of a man and a Bible. The Bible was lying open on the ground, and the man stepped onto, or more correctly, into the Bible. The man was hidden within it; he was fully immersed in the word. Today I was walking the dogs. As we went up the street the glint of a penny in the morning sun caught my eyes. I picked it up and a few steps later there was another penny. For me, it was a way to get my attention; for God wanted to give me his two cents. I wondered if that was it or if there may be any more change for me that day. I had to drive to downtown Dayton this morning for jury selection. On the

cross roads

This is what the Lord says: “Stand where the roads cross and look. Ask where the old way is, where the good way is, and walk on it. If you do, you will find rest for yourselves. But they have said, ’We will not walk on the good way.’  Jeremiah 6:16 (NCV)

my provision

Come to me. I have declare you free. Walk in the liberty provided. Dance in your new-found freedom. I have provided for you all things. As my sons and daughters, take a stand. Arise. I am sending you out, as I have sent others. Gather the hungry; compel them come in. My banquet tables are full. No enemy will prevail. Eat and drink of my provision, sharing freely all you shall receive. Allow me to walk with you; to bring down the strongholds. I am your creator-God, the sustainer of all life. Let us make war on my enemies. Let my liberty and healing flow freely where you walk. The master said to the servant, 'Go out to the roads and country lanes, and urge the people there to come so my house will be full. Luke 14:23 (NCV)

newness of life

We get our new life from the Spirit, so we should follow the Spirit.   Galatians 5:25 (NCV)

had a recent taste test?

A good tree is not able to bear bad fruit, nor a bad tree to bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. So then, you will recognize them by their fruit. Matthew 7:18-20 (NET)

enlightening

“Arise! Shine! For your light arrives! The splendor of the Lord shines on you! For, look, darkness covers the earth and deep darkness covers the nations, but the Lord shines on you; his splendor appears over you. Isaiah 60:1-2 (NET)

then and now

Whatever exists now has already been, and whatever will be has already been; for God will seek to do again what has occurred in the past. Ecclesiastes 3:15 (NET)

where are you hiding?

Who is your God? Where are you hiding? What is it that is occupying your mind. Why not talk about it with me? I am your father. I so enjoy conversation with you. You can not hide yourself from me. Open your inner self to me, allow me to work. Make your decision. Be holy. Am I not the same God? I have changed the circumstances so you might grow and succeed in me. You can not produce holiness from your works, but by being with me. Listen not to the voices of the accuser. He brings confusion. He twists and distorts the truth. In the end there is separation and death. Talk with me about your disappointments and fears. Allow me to come near. It is not a time to withdraw from me. I am not angry with you, I wish you wholeness. Jettison the refuse and trash which has encompassed you. Allow my Spirit to wash over and through you. Do not hide your face in shame. Remember the joy when as a child you would ride your bicycle. Now ride upon my wings. The Lord is compassionate and

some reasons to praise

Praise the Lord, O my soul! With all that is within me, praise his holy name! Praise the Lord, O my soul! Do not forget all his kind deeds! He is the one who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases, who delivers your life from the Pit, who crowns you with his loyal love and compassion, who satisfies your life with good things, so your youth is renewed like an eagle’s. Psalm 103:1-5 (NET)
