wait

Don’t be inpatient, but wait for me. I will yet do those things which I have promised. But the land that you are going over to possess is a land of hills and valleys, which drinks water by the rain from heaven, ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭11:11‬ (‭ESV‬‬)

with you

Each day, I am with you.

strike the ground

Now when Elisha had fallen sick with the illness of which he was to die, Joash king of Israel went down to him and wept before him, crying, “My father, my father! The chariots of Israel and its horsemen!” And Elisha said to him, “Take a bow and arrows.” So he took a bow and arrows. Then he said to the king of Israel, “Draw the bow,” and he drew it. And Elisha laid his hands on the king’s hands. And he said, “Open the window eastward,” and he opened it. Then Elisha said, “Shoot,” and he shot. And he said, “The Lord’s arrow of victory, the arrow of victory over Syria! For you shall fight the Syrians in Aphek until you have made an end of them.” And he said, “Take the arrows,” and he took them. And he said to the king of Israel, “Strike the ground with them.” And he struck three times and stopped. Then the man of God was angry with him and said, “You should have struck five or six times; then you would have struck down Syria until you had made an end of it, but now you will strike down Sy

initiative

In the beginning I spoke life into my creation. My word continues to go forth. Creation continues its’ pathway, blinders and shackles are still removed. So Jesus explained, I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself. He does only what he sees the Father doing. Whatever the Father does, the Son also does. ‭‭John‬ ‭5:19‬ (‭NLT)‬‬ I can do nothing on My own initiative. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is just, because I do not seek My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. ‭‭John‬ ‭5:30‬ ‭(NASB)

what are you asking?

You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name. John 15:16 (NLT)

Are you listening?

Listen to this! Behold, the sower went out to sow; as he was sowing, some seed fell beside the road, and the birds came and ate it up. Other seed fell on the rocky ground where it did not have much soil; and immediately it sprang up because it had no depth of soil. And after the sun had risen, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away. Other seed fell among the thorns, and the thorns came up and choked it, and it yielded no crop. Other seeds fell into the good soil, and as they grew up and increased, they yielded a crop and produced thirty, sixty, and a hundredfold. And He was saying, He who has ears to hear, let him hear. ‭‭Mark‬ ‭4:3-9‬ ‭(NASB) Listen for me. I am about to call your name. Be ready to lean in as I whisper my thoughts and directions for you. Lean upon my sword and strength and not your own. Be a blessing for those around you.

Be refreshed

Don’t let the clutter of your mind keep you from coming to me. Sit and allow me to clean away the muck of the day. Quiet yourself in my peace. Allow my healing to flow over you. Become refreshed in me.

Crying out

I cry out to the Lord; I plead for the Lord’s mercy. I pour out my complaints before him and tell him all my troubles. When I am overwhelmed, you alone know the way I should turn. Wherever I go, my enemies have set traps for me. I look for someone to come and help me, but no one gives me a passing thought! No one will help me; no one cares a bit what happens to me. Then I pray to you, O Lord. I say, You are my place of refuge. You are all I really want in life. Hear my cry, for I am very low. Rescue me from my persecutors, for they are too strong for me. B ring me out of prison so I can thank you. The godly will crowd around me, for you are good to me. ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭142:1-7‬ ‭(NLT)

for the times we tend to forget,,,

Let love be your highest goal! But you should also desire the special abilities the Spirit gives —especially the ability to prophesy. For if you have the ability to speak in tongues, you will be talking only to God, since people won’t be able to understand you. You will be speaking by the power of the Spirit, but it will all be mysterious. But one who prophesies strengthens others, encourages them, and comforts them. A person who speaks in tongues is strengthened personally, but one who speaks a word of prophecy strengthens the entire church. ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭14:1-4‬ ‭(NLT‬‬)

ever-present

I am yet the ever-present one. Take time and know the ways I have for you. Sense my moving and callings. I will whisper directions for you to reach others. Let there be no judging in your inner mind.

what perception do you leave?

Now there came a day when Elisha passed over to Shunem, where there was a prominent woman, and she persuaded him to eat food. And so it was, as often as he passed by, he turned in there to eat food. She said to her husband, Behold now, I perceive that this is a holy man of God passing by us continually. Please, let us make a little walled upper chamber and let us set a bed for him there, and a table and a chair and a lampstand; and it shall be, when he comes to us, that he can turn in there. ‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭4:8-10‬ ‭(NASB)

purification

One day the leaders of the town of Jericho visited Elisha. “We have a problem, my Lord,” they told him. “This town is located in pleasant surroundings, as you can see. But the water is bad, and the land is unproductive.” Elisha said, “Bring me a new bowl with salt in it.” So they brought it to him. Then he went out to the spring that supplied the town with water and threw the salt into it. And he said, “This is what the Lord says: I have purified this water. It will no longer cause death or infertility.” And the water has remained pure ever since, just as Elisha said. ‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭2:19-22‬ (‭NLT)

my direction

I have not abandoned my plans for you. Don’t be caught in re-membering the past or constructing a view of the future. Rest in me. Be secure in my direction.

inheritance

When the Lord was about to take Elijah up to heaven in a whirlwind, Elijah and Elisha were traveling from Gilgal. And Elijah said to Elisha, “Stay here, for the Lord has told me to go to Bethel.” But Elisha replied, “As surely as the Lord lives and you yourself live, I will never leave you!” So they went down together to Bethel. The group of prophets from Bethel came to Elisha and asked him, “Did you know that the Lord is going to take your master away from you today?” “Of course I know,” Elisha answered. “But be quiet about it.” Then Elijah said to Elisha, “Stay here, for the Lord has told me to go to Jericho.” But Elisha replied again, “As surely as he Lord lives and you yourself live, I will never leave you.” So they went on together to Jericho. Then the group of prophets from Jericho came to Elisha and asked him, “Did you know that the Lord is going to take your master away from you today?” “Of course I know,” Elisha answered. “But be quiet about it.” Then Elijah said to Elisha, “S

be refreshed

Tend to your garden. Remove the weeds which clutter and choke off your growth. I have planted gifts of value for those around you. Tend to the garden and they will begin to grow. Watch for the time of rain. Do not withdraw to the face of safety, but move forth and be refreshed.

reminder

Listen, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord alone. And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates. ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭6:4-9‬ ‭(NLT) ‬‬

where do you fit in?

To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the ability to distinguish between spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills. ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭12:7-11 (‭ESV)

what are you eating?

But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to discern good and evil. ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭5:14‬ ‭(NASB1995‬‬)

Waiting...

After a long time, in the third year, the word of the Lord came to Elijah: “Go and present yourself to Ahab, and I will send rain on the land.” ‭‭1 Kings‬ ‭18:1‬ ‭(NIV‬‬)

What time is it in your life?

For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven. A time to be born and a time to die. A time to plant and a time to harvest. A time to kill and a time to heal. A time to tear down and a time to build up. A time to cry and a time to laugh. A time to grieve and a time to dance. A time to scatter stones and a time to gather stones. A time to embrace and a time to turn away. A time to search and a time to quit searching. A time to keep and a time to throw away. A time to tear and a time to mend. A time to be quiet and a time to speak. A time to love and a time to hate. A time for war and a time for peace. Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 (NLT)

your son is alive

Now it came about after these things that the son of the woman, the mistress of the house, became sick; and his sickness was so severe that there was no breath left in him. So she said to Elijah, “What do I have to do with you, O man of God? You have come to me to bring my iniquity to remembrance and to put my son to death!” He said to her, “Give me your son.” Then he took him from her bosom and carried him up to the upper room where he was living, and laid him on his own bed. He called to the Lord and said, “O Lord my God, have You also brought calamity to the widow with whom I am staying, by causing her son to die?” Then he stretched himself upon the child three times, and called to the Lord and said, “O Lord my God, I pray You, let this child’s life return to him.” The Lord heard the voice of Elijah, and the life of the child returned to him and he revived. Elijah took the child and brought him down from the upper room into the house and gave him to his mother; and Elijah said, “See

rest in me

Lay aside your internal busyness and excuses. Rest in me. Unpack your secrets and the anxieties of life; Learn my Word. Let it speak you. Within it is my peace.

Lessons to be learned

At the Lord’s command, a man of God from Judah went to Bethel, arriving there just as Jeroboam was approaching the altar to burn incense. Then at the Lord’s command, he shouted, “O altar, altar! This is what the Lord says:  A child named Josiah will be born into the dynasty of David. On you he will sacrifice the priests from the pagan shrines who come here to burn incense, and human bones will be burned on you.” That same day the man of God gave a sign to prove his message. He said, “The Lord has promised to give this sign: This altar will split apart, and its ashes will be poured out on the ground.” When King Jeroboam heard the man of God speaking against the altar at Bethel, he pointed at him and shouted, “Seize that man!” But instantly the king’s hand became paralyzed  in that position, and he couldn’t pull it back.  At the same time a wide crack appeared in the altar, and the ashes poured out, just as the man of God had predicted in his message from the Lord.  The king cried out to

something to ponder

I may be able to speak the languages of human beings and even of angels, but if I have no love, my speech is no more than a noisy gong or a clanging bell. I may have the gift of inspired preaching; I may have all knowledge and understand all secrets; I may have all the faith needed to move mountains—but if I have no love, I am nothing. I may give away everything I have, and even give up my body to be burned— but if I have no love, this does me no good. Love is patient and kind; it is not jealous or conceited or proud; love is not ill-mannered or selfish or irritable; love does not keep a record of wrongs; love is not happy with evil, but is happy with the truth. Love never gives up; and its faith, hope, and patience never fail. Love is eternal. There are inspired messages, but they are temporary; there are gifts of speaking in strange tongues, but they will cease; there is knowledge, but it will pass. For our gifts of knowledge and of inspired messages are only partial; but when what i

Hear my cry

From the depths of my despair I call to you, Lord. Hear my cry, O Lord; listen to my call for help! If you kept a record of our sins, who could escape being condemned? But you forgive us, so that we should stand in awe of you. I wait eagerly for the Lord's help, and in his word I trust. I wait for the Lord more eagerly than sentries wait for the dawn— than sentries wait for the dawn. Israel, trust in the Lord, because his love is constant and he is always willing to save. He will save his people Israel from all their sins. ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭130:1-8‬ ‭(GNT‬‬)

Believe my Word

Believe what I have spoken. My words are truth and in them is life. In the beginning, when God created the universe, the earth was formless and desolate. The raging ocean that covered everything was engulfed in total darkness, and the Spirit of God was moving over the water. Then God commanded, “Let there be light”—and light appeared.” Genesis 1:1-3 (GNT) In the beginning the Word already existed; the Word was with God, and the Word was God. From the very beginning the Word was with God. Through him God made all things; not one thing in all creation was made without him. The Word was the source of life, and this life brought light to people. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has never put it out. John 1:1-5 (GNT)

where did you come from / where are you going?

But Abram said to Sarai, Look, your maid is entirely in your hands and subject to your authority; do as you please with her. So Sarai treated her harshly and humiliated her, and Hagar fled from her. But the Angel of the Lord found her by a spring of water in the wilderness, on the road to [Egypt by way of] Shur. And He said, “Hagar, Sarai’s maid, where did you come from and where are you going?” ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭16:6-8‬ ‭(AMP) The Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a blazing flame of fire from the midst of a bush; and he looked, and behold, the bush was on fire, yet it was not consumed. So Moses said, “I must turn away [from the flock] and see this great sight—why the bush is not burned up.” When the Lord saw that he turned away [from the flock] to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, “Moses, Moses!” And he said, “Here I am.” Then God said, “Do not come near; take your sandals off your feet [out of respect], because the place on which you are standing is holy grou

Speak life

Speak to the roots and control your life. Command them to be gone. You have the power of life in your tongue: “Speak Life” To the storms of life, speak correction. Let there be a blanket of peace upon the area where you stand. Let the authority of your voice be mine.

My words for you

Then the Lord stretched out His hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me, “Behold (hear Me), I have put My words in your mouth. See, I have appointed you this day over the nations and over the kingdoms, To uproot and break down, To destroy and to overthrow, To build and to plant. Jeremiah 1:9-10 (AMP) I saw you when you stumbled, yet you are mine. I kept the enemy from sifting you. I set those In your pathway to speak direction and life to you. I have implanted my words deep within you, I am not yet done. My plans for you are not completed. Continue to seek my ways and I will answer and strengthen you. Call out to me so I can answer you. Walk in the security of my love.

straighten the course

Now is the time to straighten your course. Make the necessary adjustments while the time is open for you. Walk in the way I have shown for you and my rewards will shower upon you. Stay on course and walk in my love and power. The direction will become clear.

Step forward

Learn to trust in me. Move forward in what I am saying to you. Each day my mercies and direction is there for you. Step forward and grow in my ways.

can you answer the questions?

Where did it fall?” the man of God asked. When he showed him the place, Elisha cut a stick and threw it into the water at that spot. Then the ax head floated to the surface.  Grab it, Elisha said. And the man reached out and grabbed it. ‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭6:6-7‬ ‭(NLT‬‬) Follow the instructions and reach out. Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a burning coal he had taken from the altar with a pair of tongs. He touched my lips with it and said, “See, this coal has touched your lips. Now your guilt is removed, and your sins are forgiven.” Then I heard the Lord asking, Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us? I said, Here I am. Send me. ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭6:6-8‬ (‭NLT‬‬)

the small things

Finding and recognizing the small things from Papa-God can be life-giving. This was one such a time. He showed me a penny to pick pick-up this evening. The date was a key for me to investigate. It was 2020. Early the next morning the army of Judah went out into the wilderness of Tekoa. On the way Jehoshaphat stopped and said, “Listen to me, all you people of Judah and Jerusalem! Believe in the Lord your God, and you will be able to stand firm. Believe in his prophets, and you will succeed. ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭20:20‬ ‭(NLT) Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid; for God has come in order to test you, and in order that the fear of Him may remain with you, so that you may not sin. ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭20:20‬ ‭(NASB)

from the stem of Jesse

Then a shoot will spring from the stem of Jesse, And a branch from his roots will bear fruit. The Spirit of the Lord will rest on Him, The spirit of wisdom and understanding, The spirit of counsel and strength, The spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord. And He will delight in the fear of the Lord, And He will not judge by what His eyes see, Nor make a decision by what His ears hear; But with righteousness He will judge the poor, And decide with fairness for the afflicted of the earth; And He will strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, And with the breath of His lips He will slay the wicked. ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭11:1-4‬ ‭(NASB)

You, O God

You, O God, are my king from ages past, bringing salvation to the earth. You split the sea by your strength and smashed the heads of the sea monsters. You crushed the heads of Leviathan and let the desert animals eat him. You caused the springs and streams to gush forth, and you dried up rivers that never run dry. Both day and night belong to you; you made the starlight and the sun. You set the boundaries of the earth, and you made both summer and winter. ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭74:12-17‬ (‭NLT‬‬)

reminder to self...

I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip— he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord watches over you— the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore. Psalms 121:1-8 (NIV)

questions and answers

Then I looked up again and saw four chariots coming from between two bronze mountains. The first chariot was pulled by red horses, the second by black horses, the third by white horses, and the fourth by powerful dappled-gray horses. “And what are these, my Lord?” I asked the angel who was talking with me. The angel replied, “These are the four spirits of heaven who stand before the Lord of all the earth.  They are going out to do his work. The chariot with black horses is going north, the chariot with white horses is going west, and the chariot with dappled-gray horses is going south.”  The powerful horses were eager to set out to patrol the earth. And the Lord said, “Go and patrol the earth!” So they left at once on their patrol.” Zechariah 6:1-7 (NLT) The question asked of me: Where does the sound of a North-bound train go once it has moved passed you?

for right thinking...

For as he thinks within himself, so he is. Proverbs 23:7a (NASB)

the pathway...

I came to bring life. Follow my ways and find the freedom. Do not allow fear to guide you into unknown pathways. Don't eat of the meat of self-deception, measure yourself against my Word and you will find life. My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your sight; Keep them in the midst of your heart. For they are life to those who find them And health to all their body. Watch over your heart with all diligence, For from it flow the springs of life. Put away from you a deceitful mouth And put devious speech far from you. Let your eyes look directly ahead And let your gaze be fixed straight in front of you. Watch the path of your feet And all your ways will be established. Do not turn to the right nor to the left; Turn your foot from evil. ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭4:20-27‬ ‭(NASB)
