On the tracks

Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.”  ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭11:28‬ ‭(NLT) It is the last day of June and there is as much backward thinking and accusing as there be forward thinking.  And that would be between believers as much as with those who do not know Jesus as savior.   We can often see where we’ve been, but are unsure as how we got there and are clueless as to where we are going. We walk self-correcting in our journey, but seen lost in recognizing the destination, other than tomorrow. It can be as seeing the train on my working walk today.  It sat, silent on the tracks, yet one could only guess if it were a northbound or southbound train. It was quiet, there was no motion. You search the Scriptures because you think they give you eternal life. But the Scriptures point to me!  Yet you refuse to come to me to receive this life. ‭‭John‬ ‭5:39-40‬ (‭NLT) ‬‬ Where are you this day? Are you stationary or in movement

have no doubt in your heart

I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart. I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours. But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too. ‭‭Mark‬ ‭11:23-25‬ (‭NLT‬‬) It causes one to examine their beliefs against the truth

drawing closer

So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God.  There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most. Hebrews 4:16 (NLT) It was in the year King Uzziah died that I saw the Lord. He was sitting on a lofty throne,  and the train of his robe filled the Temple. Attending him were mighty seraphim,  each having six wings. With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet,  and with two they flew. They were calling out to each other,  “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of Heaven’s Armies! The whole earth is filled with his glory!”  Their voices shook the Temple to its foundations, and the entire building was filled with smoke.   ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭6:1-4‬ ‭(NLT‬‬) The presence of God often depends upon our current perceived relationship with Him. We hesitate to come closer because of "stuff". James 4:8 reminds us he will draw closer to us,  as we draw closer to Him. Draw closer to Him and sense what happens with yo

I am waiting

And instantly I was in the Spirit, and I saw a throne in heaven and someone sitting on it.  The one sitting on the throne was as brilliant as gemstones—like jasper and carnelian.  And the glow of an emerald circled his throne like a rainbow. From the throne came flashes of lightning and the rumble of thunder.  And in front of the throne were seven torches with burning flames.  This is the sevenfold Spirit of God. In front of the throne was a shiny sea of glass, sparkling like crystal.  In the center and around the throne were four living beings, each covered with eyes, front and back. ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭4:2-3, 5-6‬ ‭(NLT‬‬) What if I gave you opportunity to come closer to me; To be able to be before my throne? What if I asked you to come into the place of my presence? Are you ready? Draw nearer, for I am waiting. Above this surface was something that looked like a throne made of blue lapis lazuli.  And on this throne high above was a figure whose appearance resembled a ma

answers provided

For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord.  “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.  In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.”   ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭29:11-13‬ ‭(NLT) Sometimes we do not see even the answers already provided.

direction for those times

Open me to your ways, for I am dry and lifeless.  Do not allow me to miss what you have for me; Your presence is far overwhelming. I need you. Direct me so I may recognize what I am so see. I cry out to the Lord; I plead for the Lord’s mercy.  I pour out my complaints before him and tell him all my troubles.  When I am overwhelmed, you alone know the way I should turn.  Wherever I go, my enemies have set traps for me.  I look for someone to come and help me, but no one gives me a passing thought!  No one will help me; no one cares a bit what happens to me.  Then I pray to you, O Lord. I say, “You are my place of refuge.  You are all I really want in life. Hear my cry, for I am very low.  Rescue me from my persecutors, for they are too strong for me.  Bring me out of prison so I can thank you.  The godly will crowd around me, for you are good to me. ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭142:1-7‬ ‭(NLT‬‬)

Take pause

The secret [of the wise counsel] of the LORD is for those who fear Him,  And He will let them know His covenant and reveal to them  [through His word] its [deep, inner] meaning. Psalms 25:14 (AMP) Take pause and consider.  Where do you sit?

a morning lesson

As I was driving to my walk this morning I saw a man in a dark blue t-shirt. The shirt had one word written within it.  It read PLANOLOGY. I'd never heard of it and made a note to do some investigation.   I heard a question being repeated within my Spirit:  What are your plans? Are you ready for me to break in? Be ready for where I will lead you. Do not turn away. As I began our morning walk I came across two women who were ending their walk. The one slowed her walk s o she might see the dogs and give them some verbal attention. The other continued to her car. As the one got into her car.  She spoke to the one looking at my dogs. I recognized her voice and face. She seemed to be a person of my work-past. I remembered her name was Karen.  I realized I was to find out more of "Karen". What I found was simple and direct. Now it come for the part I am often the weaker. The application of the lesson. Once home and with some rudimentary help of the internet. I found t

the time of crossing

Elisha then picked up Elijah’s cloak that had fallen from him and went back and stood on the bank of the Jordan. He took the cloak that had fallen from Elijah and struck the water with it. “Where now is the Lord, the God of Elijah?” he asked. When he struck the water, it divided to the right and to the left, and he crossed over.” 2 Kings 2:13-14 (NIV) Be patient, yet steadfast in what you have been called. There is a time of promotion into a greater calling, Let there be no self-deceit or anger found within you, but the cloak of love covering about you. You will recognize the time of crossing over for what you are to be doing. Be ready. Be selfless.

protection

Though I am surrounded by troubles, you will protect me from the anger of my enemies. You reach out your hand, and the power of your right hand saves me. The Lord will work out his plans for my life— for your faithful love, O Lord, endures forever. Don’t abandon me, for you made me. Psalms 138:7-8 (NLT)

Awaken me

Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Ephesians 3:20 (NLT) Awaken me for I am dry and lifeless. Allow me to sense and experience your glory  that life may flow thru me. Open my eyes and my heart.

where is your rain?

Now Elijah, who was from Tishbe in Gilead, told King Ahab, “As surely as the Lord, the God of Israel, lives—the God I serve—there will be no dew or rain during the next few years until I give the word! 1 Kings 17:1 (NLT) Waiting.  It is not a word we appreciate. It is often associated with the unknown. We generally do not appreciate spending time in a waiting room, or be told we needed to wait to talk with someone. We wish to see results now and not await an outcome. Do we approach God in the same manner?? Consider the Bible story with Elijah and King Ahab. They had a contentious relationship. It produced stress on those around them. God had Elijah declare a drought. Years of drought was the forecast. We jump ahead and we see a coming change, but only in terms of the weather forecast. We are yet awaiting for "rain" of God to appear. We are dry naturally and spiritually. How are we handling what is before us? We are waiting for GOD..... Lat

what I have for you

Close your eyes   Take a moment with me. Release the self-expectations and rushing about. Free yourself and be found with me. I am releasing you from the guilt of past failure. I am healing you of the inflicted wounds. Allow my buffer to shield you from the evil one. My shield of protection stops those arrows aimed to main and dig into your flesh. The oil will sooth you and anoint you   for what I have yet set for you to accomplish.

a new season

a repost from July 2009 "Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.   Luke 12:32 (RSV) Fear not, I am yet with you. I am yet with you. Do not allow anxiety to rob you. My peace remains for you. Fuel up in me and walk with me. I declare this a new season, a period of time when you shall draw closer to me. A time when you can hear more of me and how I am communicating my ways. My peace can be yours. There is great grace for those who will ask and expect to receive from me. My Spirit of life fills you. My characteristics are embedded within you as you grow in my peace and power is shown. Fear not, I am yet in control. My plans are being carried out. My Word is ever-living in this new season.

towards what is to come

The eyes of the LORD are in every place, Watching the evil and the good. Proverbs 15:3 (NASB) I was looking in the visions in my mind as I lay on my bed, and behold, an angelic watcher, a holy one, descended from heaven. Daniel 4:13 (NASB) I ask for your daily help and strength. Open me to what I should be doing. Enlighten me with the love of Papa-God.

our peace and salvation

Despite how you feel at this moment, God is in control. Correct your thinking: He is not done with you. He has sent protection and specific direction for your life. Adjust from self and your situations and place your gaze towards Him. Look for Him. In all you do reach out to Him. He alone is our peace and salvation. I wait quietly before God, for my victory comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will never be shaken. Psalms 62:1-2 (NLT) For God saved us and called us to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was his plan from before the beginning of time— to show us his grace through Christ Jesus. 2 Timothy 1:9 (NLT)

Seeds of promise

Don’t think I have forgotten you. Trust in me and my timing. Seeds of promise fall from their source. They appear dried and dead. In their timing they arise in new growth and life. Good seeds and bad both reproduce. They become the fruit and source for another generation.  Watch carefully what you are cultivating. Be wise in where you send your time and your seeds. A farmer went out to plant his seed. As he scattered it across his field, some seed fell on a footpath,  where it was stepped on, and the birds ate it. Other seed fell among rocks. It began to grow, but the plant soon wilted and died for lack of moisture. Other seed fell among thorns that grew up with it and choked out the tender plants. Still other seed fell on fertile soil. This seed grew and produced a crop that was a hundred times as much as had been planted!   When he had said this, he called out, “Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand.   Luke 8:5-8 (NLT)

Reminder to self...

Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them.  Hate what is wrong.  Hold tightly to what is good.  Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other.  Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically.  Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying.  When God’s people are in need, be ready to help them.  Always be eager to practice hospitality. ‭‭Romans‬ ‭12:9-13‬ ‭(NLT‬‬)

Declare my peace

It is time to stop listening to the words of the enemy. His hollow words howl and shriek. They aim to disturb and distract you. He would kill your peace, if, you follow him. Speak the truth of my ways. Come closer. Allow my breath to blow over and through you. Rest in the safety of my ways. No harm the enemy may send can disturb what I have for you. My kingdom lies within those who know and have their trust in me. Declare my peace not only in Word, but by your actions. Be secure in me. May your Kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Matthew 6:10 (NLT)

Hold tightly what I've shared

Take a moment to seek me. Have something to speak with you about. Do not be confused by your feelings. I am drawing you closer. Learn who you are thru me. Depend upon my leading you. Act directly when I prompt you. Display my love, in patience as I have shown with you. You are mine. I see great value within you. Allow others to share what you have been give. Relearn the joy of my power.

Are you listening?

Are you listening for me? Have you heard my encouragement and support? Stop.  Put down what you are holding onto. Release those burdens, and instead soak with me. I am speaking favor and direction for your life. I have yet blessings for you to be unfolded. Watch for the clues. I am placing them all about you. Seek me out and I will be found. Be confident and persistent in seeking my ways. Walk in what I show you. Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. Romans 12:2 (NLT)

for those times and these times

For those times of discouragement and internal gazing, sing praise. When you are so busy or tired for looking what to be doing; praise him. Don’t listen to the accusation the enemy brings to your mind. Don’t measure yourself against others opinion. Each day find time and praise Him. Spend the time giving Him the honour. Praise the Lord! Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heaven!  Praise him for his mighty works; praise his unequaled greatness!  Praise him with a blast of the ram’s horn; praise him with the lyre and harp!  Praise him with the tambourine and dancing; praise him with strings and flutes!  Praise him with a clash of cymbals; praise him with loud clanging cymbals.  Let everything that breathes sing praises to the Lord! Praise the Lord! Psalms 150:1-6 (NLT)

Draw nearer

Come closer. Listen to the whisper of my breath. Draw nearer so I can show you those things yet to unfold. The Lord confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them. Psalms 25:14 (NIV)

new things

Look for me and not the situations which surround you now. I am in control. I am your creator and protector. Follow the direction of my eyes. Draw nearer to me in trust so I might speak to you. Awaken to the night-dreams I have for you. I am teaching you things, planting instructions, delivering wisdom so you might enlarge my kingdom. Do not become discouraged by what you hear from the air-waves. Allow my Spirit to lead you. New things are about to happen.

His thoughts of you

Ever wondering about God and your relationship with Him? Beyond our understanding is His love. He says He has always loved us. That includes all the messy times and the times we "think" we are good. Yes, you are a special creation. You are unique from anyone every born, or yet to be born. He has created you special. You are loved of God, something we seldom understand. He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. Micah 6:8 (NIV) “I have always loved you,” says the Lord. But you retort, “Really? How have you loved us?” And the Lord replies, “This is how I showed my love for you: I loved your ancestor Jacob,” Malachi 1:2 (NLT)

a June prayer

Father-God, You are Holy and almighty. You have created all things and know me. I ask for forgiveness for my hurtful ways and attitudes. I need more of your ways to come into my life. Help me recognize and deal with those things which cause my distractions, those things which displease you in my every-day life. Grant me peace from being within your presence. Teach me those kingdom ways which you have created for me. Show me how to be productive for you and bring you glory. May your light shine upon me and the pathway created for me. Draw me to Jesus.  Amen.
