The Light

This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light and in him there is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him while we are walking in darkness, we lie and do not do what is true; but if we walk in the light as he himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he who is faithful and just will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. 1 John 1:5-10 (NRSV)

from the past into our future

He was despised and rejected by others; a man of suffering and acquainted with infirmity; and as one from whom others hide their faces he was despised, and we held him of no account. Surely he has borne our infirmities and carried our diseases; yet we accounted him stricken, struck down by God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the punishment that made us whole, and by his bruises we are healed. Isaiah 53:3-5 (NRSV)

passover poem

passover Tonight the cool wind does pass over around and through my dreams as an angel of death searching high blue brown skies envelop the trees like the scenery in an old movie; lips out of synch with words, searching for blood stained door-posts. I hear the voices crying out angry for the deaths of sons; those firstborn, meant to receive the blessing now receive the promise of their forefathers; a bondage none can break. it is strange that I should be allowed to pass over death into life unlike those before me that dark egyptian night

for you were afraid

Not with our ancestors did the LORD make this covenant, but with us, who are all of us here alive today.  The LORD spoke with you face to face at the mountain, out of the fire.  (At that time I was standing between the LORD and you to declare to you the words of the LORD; for you were afraid because of the fire and did not go up the mountain.) Deuteronomy 5:3-5 (NRSV)

You can have peace through his blood

For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross. Colossians 1:13-20 (NIV)

in tough times

For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for him, Philippians 1:29 (NIV)

look with your eyes and hear with your ears

The man said to me, "Son of man, look with your eyes and hear with your ears and pay attention to everything I am going to show you, for that is why you have been brought here. Tell the house of Israel everything you see." Ezekiel 40:4 (NIV) Come away with me and I will give you revelation. I will lavish you with my presence as you sit in my shadow. I am the one who called you out of the darkness. Within my light is health. Pestilence flees before my presence. Cancers dry up and fall away. My Spirit is among you. Look for him, call out for his counsel of presence. Lean not to upon your own understanding, but be filled. Follow what he shall input to you. Let your needs be known to me. Ask from me the desires of your heart. Trust and see if I will not provide.  I again am wooing you. Let your heart be excited by me. I will fill you with joy and long-needed peace. Come again into my supernatural presence. Draw near to me. Then the man brought me to the gate facing east

handy scripture

He fills his hands with lightning and commands it to strike its mark. Job 36:32 (NIV) He said, “The LORD came from Sinai and dawned from Seir upon us; he shone forth from Mount Paran; he came from the ten thousands of holy ones, with flaming fire at his right hand. Deuteronomy 33:2 (ESV)
...Then I knew that this was the word of the LORD.             Jeremiah 32:8b (NKJV)

my compassion

Now when Jesus heard this he went away from there privately in a boat to an isolated place. But when the crowd heard about it, they followed him on foot from the towns.  As he got out he saw the large crowd, and he had compassion on them and healed their sick.  Matthew 14:13-14 (NET) My compassion has not changed.  My heart still breaks for those who do not know me.  I need my people to be relevant.  Allow my love and acceptance to saturate you. Let it be seen in all you each day. My rain is now falling. Now is the time to ask from me. Now is the time to declare my words. Ask for more of me. Come together in the strength of my love. Call upon my name so I ,may answer.  I am gathering my family. There are clans who do not yet know me. To them I will show myself in dreams. Reach out to those around you. Don't be afraid of their reaction. I will have compassion upon them. I am breaking bonds and healing their wounds.

words for a trying time in life

For I hear the slander of many; there is terror on every side; they conspire against me and plot to take my life. But I trust in you, O LORD; I say, "You are my God." My times are in your hands; deliver me from my enemies and from those who pursue me. Let your face shine on your servant; save me in your unfailing love. Psalms 31:13-16 (NIV)

328

I recently asked to have a closer relationship with God. I missed the experiences I had previously had with some frequency. That evening while reading the Bible I saw the numbers 328 flash clearly into my sight. I knew the numbers were from Him. I wrote them so I'd not forget them the next morning. As I was walking the dogs I asked God if those numbers were for me. Walking back towards home I came upon a dime. It was a confirmation. The type of confirmation I'd been used to having the years previously. I sat with my Bible software looking for 3:28 scriptures in books I often found His words for me. But I found none, It was then my mind opened a bit and I began to search out for 32:8 scriptures. Again I'd gone to the same books, but with no confirmation until I came upon the Psalms. It was as if it were jumping off the page into my spirit. I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.  (NKJV) Wow... If He is guiding me wit

How are you doing?

For just as in one body we have many members, and not all the members serve the same function,  so we who are many are one body in Christ, and individually we are members who belong to one another. And we have different gifts according to the grace given to us. If the gift is prophecy, that individual must use it in proportion to his faith. If it is service, he must serve; if it is teaching, he must teach; if it is exhortation, he must exhort; if it is contributing, he must do so with sincerity; if it is leadership, he must do so with diligence; if it is showing mercy, he must do so with cheerfulness. Romans 12:4-8 (NET) How are you doing with this concept? Some of try be be all things while others of you have a false sense of humility. You feel that you're not gifted of God at all. In either case, it seems you are incorrect. We have gifts that are useful only when used in interacting with others. Are you known by your love or by your negative reactions? We are to be as one.

a working of the Spirit

Numbers 11:24-25 (NKJV) So Moses went out and told the people the words of the LORD, and he gathered the seventy men of the elders of the people and placed them around the tabernacle. 25 Then the LORD came down in the cloud, and spoke to him, and took of the Spirit that was upon him, and placed the same upon the seventy elders; and it happened, when the Spirit rested upon them, that they prophesied, although they never did so again.  Numbers 11:24-25 (NKJV)

the new and the old

He said to them, "Therefore every teacher of the law who has been instructed about the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old." Matthew 13:52 (NIV)

world wide

It is time to renew your vision and not give up. Reflect upon my words and what I've spoken into your heart. I am about to show myself to many. Do not be frightened by what you see, but allow me to empower you. Listen for me for I am speaking to you. I am resurrecting drams which have thought to be long dead. I am bringing new life to the dead. I am breathing my breath into them and into you. Stand with me. Remind me of the things I showed you in what you call the past. Feel the power of my presence as it flows through you, cleansing and bringing renewed life. Renew your vision.

things planned long ago

O Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness you have done marvelous things, things planned long ago.  Isaiah 25:1

upon your hearts

These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.     -- Deuteronomy 6:6-7

Importance of learning to recognize the voice of God

After all this that Josiah had prepared for the temple, Neco king of Egypt marched up to fight at Carchemish by the Euphrates, and Josiah went out to confront him. But Neco sent messengers to him, saying, “What is [the issue] between you and me, king of Judah? I have not come against you today but to the dynasty I am fighting. God told me to hurry. Stop opposing God who is with me; don’t make Him destroy you!” But Josiah did not turn away from him; instead, in order to fight with him he disguised himself. He did not listen to Neco’s words from the mouth of God, but went to the Valley of Megiddo to fight. The archers shot King Josiah, and he said to his servants, “Take me away, for I am severely wounded!” So his servants took him out of the war chariot, carried him in his second chariot, and brought him to Jerusalem. Then he died, and they buried him in the tomb of his fathers. All Judah and Jerusalem mourned for Josiah. 2 Chronicles 35:20-24 (HCSB)
