Waiting

Out of the depths I call to You, Yahweh!
Lord, listen to my voice;
let Your ears be attentive to my cry for help.
Yahweh, if You considered sins,
Lord, who could stand?
But with You there is forgiveness,
so that You may be revered.
I wait for Yahweh;
I wait and put my hope in His word.
I wait for the Lord
more than watchmen for the morning —
more than watchmen for the morning.
Israel, put your hope in the Lord.
For there is faithful love with the Lord,
and with Him is redemption in abundance.
And He will redeem Israel from all its sins.

considering the light

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.  The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters.  And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters. Walk With Me

Now as Jesus was passing by, he saw a man who had been blind from birth. His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who committed the sin that caused him to be born blind, this man or his parents?” Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but he was born blind so that the acts of God may be revealed through what happens to him. We must perform the deeds of the one who sent me as long as it is daytime. Night is coming when no one can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” Having said this, he spat on the ground and made some mud with the saliva. He smeared the mud on the blind man’s eyes and said to him, “Go wash in the pool of Siloam” (which is translated “sent”).
