Become Bold

Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.”
So they called the blind man and said to him,
“Have courage! Get up! He is calling you.”
He threw off his cloak, jumped up, and came to Jesus.
Then Jesus said to him,
“What do you want me to do for you?”
The blind man replied, “Rabbi, let me see again.”
Jesus said to him, “Go, your faith has healed you.”
Immediately he regained his sight and followed him on the road.

Walk in my freedom. It is time to step out
and follow where I have shown you to be
going. Don't allow fear to limit your adventure
with me. I have shown you the way,
now continue.

You too can heal those I bring to you.
Touch them at their point of need. Speak
my love into their lives. Reach out.
Become bold in me.

considering the light

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.  The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters.  And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters. Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.  And God saw that the light was good. Then he separated the light from the darkness.  God called the light “day” and the darkness “night.” And evening passed and morning came, marking the first day. ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭1:1-5‬ ‭(NLT‬‬) This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all. So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness; we are not practicing the truth. ‭‭1 John‬ ‭1:5-6‬ ‭(NLT‬‬)

Walk With Me

Now as Jesus was passing by, he saw a man who had been blind from birth. His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who committed the sin that caused him to be born blind, this man or his parents?” Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but he was born blind so that the acts of God may be revealed through what happens to him. We must perform the deeds of the one who sent me as long as it is daytime. Night is coming when no one can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” Having said this, he spat on the ground and made some mud with the saliva. He smeared the mud on the blind man’s eyes and said to him, “Go wash in the pool of Siloam” (which is translated “sent”).
