Look back

It was there at Gilgal that Joshua piled up the twelve stones taken from the Jordan River. Then Joshua said to the Israelites, “In the future your children will ask, ‘What do these stones mean?’ Then you can tell them, ‘This is where the Israelites crossed the Jordan on dry ground.’ For the LORD your God dried up the river right before your eyes, and he kept it dry until you were all across, just as he did at the Red Sea when he dried it up until we had all crossed over. He did this so all the nations of the earth might know that the LORD’s hand is powerful, and so you might fear the LORD your God forever.” Joshua 4:20-24 (NLT)

I have brought you out of the bondages that held you and the lies which had
entangled you. I have rescued you and escorted you into the way of light.

Look back at the signs I have given to you in the past. Those resolutions
point to my caring for you in the past. They are markers of my steadfast
love. Look back to them and be assured. Look back, but do not stay there.
Look back as in remembrance of my hand upon your life.

Look back and be encouraged for I have not left you. My power has not
diminished nor has my love for you waned. Look ahead to see what I am doing.
Expect too that I will continue to act upon your behalf. Remember me.

You are on a journey and each day I draw you to my side. Each day I offer
myself. Grow in me. Know I am with you. Know I am yet in control.

Strengthen those around you. Encourage them. In doing such you are walking with me. Rest assured I am yet with you as you reach out to others.
