the words you speak

The words you speak carry weight. Did you ever think about some of the things Jesus said.  Consider his remarks to his apostles in the story in Mark 11.  Jesus was on the end stage of his earthly mission when he said, “...but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them” Mark 11:23b (NIV)

What dis it you believe? Which speaks louder to those around you? Is it your attitude towards them? Is it your heart? Or is it the verbal expressions they hear when you are angry? Which expresses what you believe, or think you believe?

But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower the people were building.  The Lord said, “If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this,  then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them.  Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other.”  Genesis 11:5-7 (NIV)

Out of the Water
