more than a morning walk

Interesting morning walk.  I was walking Sadie, our cocker spaniel, this
morning.  We were on one of our usual pathways. We could see that we
were alone, so I dropped the leash so she could meander where she
wanted as we walked.

At one point in the walk, I could see across from us, where we had been a
few minutes prior was a man walking. It certainly surprised me, to see that
we were unknowingly "being followed".  He was heavily bundled up in
black clothing for the extremely warm weather we were having. For some
reason his appearance made me feel uncomfortable.

As we kept walking this man seemed to disappear. He was not to be seen when
I turned to look for him. We were on the last stretch of that walk when
coming towards us was another, similarly looking/dressed man. As the other
one, this man too just seemed to appear from nowhere.

It reminded me a a convergence of the past and future.
