Looking Beyond

But anyone who hears my teaching and doesn’t obey
it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand.
When the rains and floods come and the winds beat
against that house, it will collapse with a mighty crash.
Matthew 7:26-27 (NLT)


Look beyond what your natural sense may tell you.
Open yourself to me and practice my ways. Allow
me to deposit in you the way of my Spirit. Stretch
forth your pathway in me.

I will teach you my ways. I will place my burdens
upon your heart. Watch for opportunities for you to
practice what I’ve shown you in my Word.

Do not be discouraged. I am with you. Yes, I am working within you, despite what you don’t see or sense. I am with you. Drink-in the water I offer. Apply the balm of my peace to your restlessness. My words bring encouragement. Let them soak into your life. My ways bring wholeness, for now and in the time yet to be revealed. I am active within your life. Rest in me and do not allow discouragement to affect you. My love for you is ever-growing. It reveals itself as you allow me to work. Replace what you don’t see with my assurance. My words will come to pass. They never fail. There is nothing I have shown you that I will not perform. Let the water of my living word refresh you.

You will plant and reproduce my ways. Hear my words. Allow them to sink in and resound within your life. You are my reflection for the world.
