the tree
The Lord God put the man in the garden of Eden to care for it and work it. The Lord God commanded him, "You may eat the fruit from any tree in the garden, but you must not eat the fruit from the tree which gives the knowledge of good and evil. If you ever eat fruit from that tree, you will die!" Genesis 2:15-17 (NCV)
I am the tree of life.
Spread your inadequacy before me.
Acknowledge your need.
Stand firm.
Declare my word of truth.
I am shaking that which needs to be removed.
My Spirit is blowing through my people.
Do not resist lest you be broken holding onto that which is straw and stubble.
I am cleansing those who are mine.
I am sending for my rain; washing away complacency.
Come to me.
Be washed in the blood of my son.
I am calling you into new life, a life where fear has no part.
My standard is love.
There is no room for retribution and payback.
Sustain yourself in me. Grow in holiness.
Stand firm upon the rock.
My love dispels fear.
I am the LORD God, your creator and sustainer.
Look forward into what I am doing.
