Are You Watching?

The Lord watches over the righteous
and listens to their cries;
but he opposes those who do evil,
so that when they die, they are soon forgotten.

The righteous call to the Lord, and he listens;
he rescues them from all their troubles.

The Lord is near to those who are discouraged;
he saves those who have lost all hope.

Look up from what you are doing. I am
there to guide you in your day.

I am there as you read this. Do you
believe what it says, or are you believing
what your natural senses show you?

Recognize me as I interrupt you in
the daily things of your life. I will give
you direction and fresh hope.

Are you ready? I am there with you.

Do not be discouraged. I am with you. Yes, I am working within you, despite what you don’t see or sense. I am with you. Drink-in the water I offer. Apply the balm of my peace to your restlessness. My words bring encouragement. Let them soak into your life. My ways bring wholeness, for now and in the time yet to be revealed. I am active within your life. Rest in me and do not allow discouragement to affect you. My love for you is ever-growing. It reveals itself as you allow me to work. Replace what you don’t see with my assurance. My words will come to pass. They never fail. There is nothing I have shown you that I will not perform. Let the water of my living word refresh you.
