word for Christopher
Be blessed man of God, secure in whose you are.
There is an old Fleetwood Mac song with lyrics like, “Don’t stop thinking
about tomorrow. yesterday’s gone, Yes, yesterday’s gone." In the eyes of
Father,
He does not see that which was. He sees what is yet to come. He sees
beyond
what we know (yesterday). He sees what we would call the future. As
you
have accepted Jesus all else has been removed.
You are perfect through Jesus. What we were yesterday, has past, as if
it
never has been. You have the heart of Jesus compassion.
Paul wrote,
But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of
Christ.
What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing
worth
of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things.
I
consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ and be found in him,
not
having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that
which
is through faith in Christ —the righteousness that comes from God on
the
basis of faith. I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his
resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in
his
death, and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead.
Philippians 3:7-11 (NIV)
I see a man hidden away in a cabin near the edge of the woods. He is
looking
out a window, searching for the horizon. each day he looks out for a
sign,
but he never sees the horizon nor the sun in the sky, so he retreats
into
the protection of the cabin where he has been since he took shelter from
the
blowing storm.
You are that man. You had been set in the cabin for a time of safety, but
it
is now time for you to step out. You were not there for punishment. You
are
loved by Father. There is nothing you can do to cause him to love you
any
less or any more.
If you step out and look about you will see the sun high above you. It
will
illuminate the pathway for you. He has set you apart and equipped you
like
no other. You are able to reach the lost; the broken hearted; those who
feel
worthless in their daily life.
Within you is Christ love and compassion. You are hope to the hopeless,
and
comfort to those who need comfort. You display the compassion of
Jesus
which enables healing to occur.
You contain the worth of Jesus. It pours in and through you. You display
the
truth of Him. Each day, look forward, as there is no yesterday. Find the
Son
and He will give you acceptance and guidance for what is needed.
