rest in me

Adjust your ways and rest in me. Take your eyes from the perceived giants
that taunt you, and focus your gaze upon me. I am unchanged.

All things were created by me. Step forward into my ways.
Rest in my shadow, ever-safe. Rely upon me,
for the victories are mine.


He said, “Praise the name of God forever and ever, for he has all wisdom and power.
He controls the course of world events; he removes kings and sets up other kings.
He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the scholars.
He reveals deep and mysterious things and knows what lies hidden in darkness,
though he is surrounded by light. Daniel 2:20-22 (NLT)

He said, “Listen, all you people of Judah and Jerusalem! Listen, King Jehoshaphat!
This is what the Lord says: Do not be afraid! Don’t be discouraged by this mighty army,
for the battle is not yours, but God’s. Tomorrow, march out against them.
You will find them coming up through the ascent of Ziz at the end of the valley that opens into the wilderness of Jeruel.

But you will not even need to fight. Take your positions; then stand still and watch the Lord’s victory.
He is with you, O people of Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid or discouraged.
Go out against them tomorrow, for the Lord is with you!
