my morning prayer
Good morning God,
I am here again.
The hill is before me, melting snow and dirty.
I need your direction, not my own.
Open my heart and ears to hear what you may say to me.
Forgive my appearance, for it is in lack of you.
Guide me. It seems like forever since being swept up
And away with you. (I hear the sound of the just-passing train)
It remains on track and steady.) You are more real and
Steadfast than what my physical senses can detect.
Within you I am safe and secure.
