on the roof peak

I am off work today. This morning I was driving the dogs to their grooming appointment. Driving out of our cul de sac I saw a "different" sight to my right side. On the peak of the roof were two birds. On the left side was a very large crow (not sure if it was a raven or not) looking sbout, while on the right side of the roof peak was a mallard duck. Now that really caught my attention...
