My Blessing

The Lord says, “I will put a curse on people
who trust in mere human beings, who depend on
mere flesh and blood for their strength, and
whose hearts have turned away from the Lord.
They will be like a shrub in the desert.
They will not experience good things even
when they happen. It will be as though they were
growing in the desert, in a salt land where no one
can live. My blessing is on those people who trust
in me, who put their confidence in me. They will be
like a tree planted near a stream whose roots
spread out toward the water.
It has nothing to fear when the heat comes.
Its leaves are always green.
It has no need to be concerned in a year of drought.
It does not stop bearing fruit.

Now as Jesus was passing by, he saw a man who had been blind from birth. His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who committed the sin that caused him to be born blind, this man or his parents?” Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but he was born blind so that the acts of God may be revealed through what happens to him. We must perform the deeds of the one who sent me as long as it is daytime. Night is coming when no one can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” Having said this, he spat on the ground and made some mud with the saliva. He smeared the mud on the blind man’s eyes and said to him, “Go wash in the pool of Siloam” (which is translated “sent”). So the blind man went away and washed, and came back seeing.” ‭‭John‬ ‭9‬:‭1‬-‭7‬ ‭(NET‬‬) I am your strength. I am your shelter. Yes, I am all which you need. Allow me to guide you in the journey.
