My Direction

-

Jesus told them, “Now is not the right time
for me to go. Any time is right for you.
The world cannot hate you,
but it hates me because I say that what
everyone does is evil. Go to the festival.
I’m not going to this festival right now.
Now is not the right time for me to go.”
After saying this, Jesus stayed in Galilee.
But after his brothers had gone to the festival,
Jesus went. He didn’t go publicly but secretly.

Yes, I see you. Rest within the safety
of my arms. I am ever protecting you.
I watch as you go about, looking for
the place you think you fit in.

Slow you pace and await me. I am there,
I've not left you alone. Listen for me.
I will continue to give you my direction.

considering the light

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.  The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters.  And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters. Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.  And God saw that the light was good. Then he separated the light from the darkness.  God called the light “day” and the darkness “night.” And evening passed and morning came, marking the first day. ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭1:1-5‬ ‭(NLT‬‬) This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all. So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness; we are not practicing the truth. ‭‭1 John‬ ‭1:5-6‬ ‭(NLT‬‬)

Walk With Me

Now as Jesus was passing by, he saw a man who had been blind from birth. His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who committed the sin that caused him to be born blind, this man or his parents?” Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but he was born blind so that the acts of God may be revealed through what happens to him. We must perform the deeds of the one who sent me as long as it is daytime. Night is coming when no one can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” Having said this, he spat on the ground and made some mud with the saliva. He smeared the mud on the blind man’s eyes and said to him, “Go wash in the pool of Siloam” (which is translated “sent”). So the blind man went away and washed, and came back seeing.” ‭‭John‬ ‭9‬:‭1‬-‭7‬ ‭(NET‬‬) I am your strength. I am your shelter. Yes, I am all which you need. Allow me to guide you in the journey.
