Psalm 23

-
Yahweh is my best friend and my shepherd. 
I always have more than enough. He offers 
a resting place for me in his luxurious love. 
His tracks take me to an oasis of peace near 
the quiet brook of bliss. 
That’s where he restores and revives my life. 
He opens before me the right path and 
leads me along in his footsteps of righteousness 
so that I can bring honor to his name. 
Even when your path takes me through the valley 
of deepest darkness, fear will never conquer me, 
for you already have! 
Your authority is my strength and my peace. 
The comfort of your love takes away my fear. 
I’ll never be lonely, for you are near. You become 
my delicious feast even when my enemies dare to fight. 
You anoint me with the fragrance of your Holy Spirit; 
you give me all I can drink of you until my cup overflows. 
So why would I fear the future? Only goodness and 
tender love pursue me all the days of my life. 
Then afterward, when my life is through, 
I’ll return to your glorious presence to be 
forever with you!

considering the light

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.  The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters.  And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters. Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.  And God saw that the light was good. Then he separated the light from the darkness.  God called the light “day” and the darkness “night.” And evening passed and morning came, marking the first day. ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭1:1-5‬ ‭(NLT‬‬) This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all. So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness; we are not practicing the truth. ‭‭1 John‬ ‭1:5-6‬ ‭(NLT‬‬)

Walk With Me

Now as Jesus was passing by, he saw a man who had been blind from birth. His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who committed the sin that caused him to be born blind, this man or his parents?” Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but he was born blind so that the acts of God may be revealed through what happens to him. We must perform the deeds of the one who sent me as long as it is daytime. Night is coming when no one can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” Having said this, he spat on the ground and made some mud with the saliva. He smeared the mud on the blind man’s eyes and said to him, “Go wash in the pool of Siloam” (which is translated “sent”).
