As some of you may remember, I recently wrote about the three 1975 coins I found in quick secession. As I was recently driving to an out of state church to minister, I asked the Father if I were to share about those three 75’s. During that time I had listened to some teaching cd’s and a worship cd, but now had the radio turned to talk radio. It was a public radio station. The guest began talking about earthquakes, particularly the under sea centered ones in recent weeks on the coast of California. He was explaining them to be off shore and deep, but that more were “soon” expected. It was when he said that there were four quakes of significant magnitude, a 7 and a 5 and another 7 and 5. That was two sets of 75. It truly caught my attention about the potential for underwater disaster affecting California. As I was turning the corner by a gas station I heard God ask me a question, “What do you see?” I thought for a moment and responded, “I see the price of gasoline is rising again.” I heard the father respond to me, In me there is stability I am that firm foundation you seek. Samuel is a rich prophetic model for the changing times from which we can gain insight. Despite what the “obvious” presents Samuel had a rich family lineage. Even in his given name he was blessed, as Samuel means “asked of God”. The lineage from 1 Samuel 1:1 lists the five generations leading up to the his birth. 5 is the number of grace & atonement. Like Samuel, we have a rich heritage. There was a certain man of Ramathaim-zophim of the hill country of Ephraim whose name was Elkanah (God has obtained) the son of Jeroham, (compassionate) son of Elihu, (strength) son of Tohu, (humility) son of Zuph, an Ephrathite (dripping with honey) We are of the Family of God. We are sons of God, just as Jesus. We have the attributes of our Father, just as Jesus does. Samuel was born from the tribe of Ephraim, meaning fruitfulness. Each time I’ve asked, He’s given me the same answer, “Tell them I love them.” You have the freedom to worship me: To be released into my love, the liberty to proclaim wholeness. You are set free …free from the past and free from the future. You have the freedom to walk with me, and freedom from what grips you. I was glad one day when I had found a penny on a walk. I pondered the significance the date. The next evening I again was on a short walk. As I looked down I saw another penny. I picked it up and examined the date, 1975. It was the same year as the evening before. In my life 1975 was a busy time with graduation changes and geographic moves, ending in Bennington Vermont. As I mulled over the odds of finding two pennies as I had, I asked God if He wanted to speak to me. Immediately I saw another penny, this one shining in the road. This penny seemed pretty new. Follow the in my pathway. I am the man Who heals the blind. I am the Lord who brought you out. Possess the vision I have for you. I am the Lord Who sets you apart to be holy. I am the living bread. Partake of only what I can provide you. I am the light of the world. Allow me to illuminate your dwelling place. I am the Lord of Israel. Find your place at my table. It’s time for settlers and pioneers to work together in harmony; to stop exchanging words the enemy speaks. It’s time for the pioneers to move forth, breaking into the uncharted ways of God and the settlers to bring along their families to sustain those who labor.

Quicken your step. Quicken your response to my urging. It is your destiny to invade the darkness. Move now into the darkness with my pure light. Shafts of my light penetrate the barriers releasing life. As you reach out to pray for the lost, my power is extended forth. As I was doing some errands this evening I stopped at the bank. I had just asked God if I could have a word to give. As soon as I asked I heard this phrase pass through my mind, “Shake it up!” I had no sooner asked was that really you or just my thoughts when I looked down. There in the evening sunshine was my confirmation. It was a bright shiny dime. I immediately thought of the shaking scripture in Haggai chapter two where God speaks of the shaking to come. This same passage is referred to in Hebrews 12:26. God says He is going not only to shake the earth, but also the heavens. “Shake it up”. I was surprised by what I found in a word search in my electronic Bible. The initial occurrence comes in Genesis of the New Jerusalem Bible. In the midst of all we do, God cares for us. Paul reminds us in 2 Timothy 1:6 to stir up our spiritual gifts. We are not to forget God or what He’s called us to do. We have a responsibility to help one another. In Hebrews 10:24 we are told to continuously care and watch over one another how we may stir up to love. In taking Peter’s example we are to hold one another in remembrance (2 Peter 3:1). So why are we reminded one this need? We are too often a stiff-necked people, set on going our own way.
