The Way to be Going

After Lot left, the Lord said to Abram,
“Look north, south, east, and west of where you are.
I will give all the land you see to you and to your descendants
for an indefinite period of time.

I will also give you as many descendants as the dust of the earth.
If anyone could count the dust of the earth, then he could also
count your descendants. Go! Walk back and forth across the entire land
because I will give it to you.”

So Abram moved his tents and went to live by the oak trees
belonging to Mamre at Hebron. There he built an altar for the Lord.
Genesis 13:14-18 (GW)



Don’t allow embarrassment keep you away;
come and soak with me. Spill your heart
to me so healing can enter in.

Allow my light to flood your corners of darkness.
I will fill you with what is missing and needed.
I will show you the way to be going.

Out of the Water

Later, when the boy was older, his mother brought him back to Pharaoh’s daughter, who adopted him as her own son. I have drawn you up, out of the waters and into my presence. Walk with me. Lean into me so I can steady your way. I have places yet for you to be going; lives yet for you to reach.
