May Day, May Day!!

“This is the written account of the descendants of Adam. When God created human beings, he made them to be like himself.” Genesis 5:1 (NLT)

It’s a new month. As I was thinking and praying today I kept hearing the phrase “May Day, May Day!!”  Growing up when I did, That “May Day” phrase has a distinct, tense tone to it. There was on oncoming situation which needed immediate help. There are those who are called into action.  There has been a time of training. Now the help can come into purposeful action. 

As we were created to be like God, we need not be fooled or caught unready. He can be assured in what we are called to do. We can step directly into a situation and receive specific instruction. We can ask and receive for those in the time of trouble.  We can imitate his heart in all we do.

“Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children.”
Ephesians 5:1 (NLT)

Father-God,
I ask that you would speak peace into our hearts, so we might imitate you. Help us to be your ambassadors of peace and caring. 
Let us be more than prepared, but help us deliver what you have shown us. You have supplied all things throughout your people.
You have placed us into this era of time and situation so you could be made manifest. 

I ask for your encouragement for each of us so we might reflect your nature, as mature children of Papa-God. We can show and act within your wisdom and caring in reaching those caught in the “May Day, May Day”  Amen
